    You've known about the aspect ratio issues foe people with older hdtv's SINCE THE CONSOLE CAME OUT...have you fixed it yet...? Of course not...why in gods name would you want to actually help the people who make you rich... I should of bought a PS4... Imagine
    that, sony has a built in aspect ratio adjustment option for just this problem...

    Ah right, maybe you could try to disable your network access. Either unplug you network cable, remove wireless adaptor or turn off your router. Then clear cache and remove update while offline, reconnect and try the update again.

    Sorry you're having issues with the display on your Xbox. If you would like another feature added I would suggest going to the Xbox Feedback site to submit your idea. Doiing a quick glance there were
    a few of these ideas already submitted including this one. I would suggest finding the
    one that best matches your idea, and up-voting it.

    You have to have the update to connect to Xbox Live.
