I can't help but be a little mad I have over 120 Xbox 360 games and out of 104 games on the list I've 2 games NBA Jam & Sonic... … I was really looking for NCAA football 2014

backwards compatibility update

hello, new to the site here, found it trying to solve a problem, I have a hankering to play gta san andreas, however my xbox isn't online and I don't have internet at my house. I cant access xbox.com at work (web filtering bs) and microsofts website gives me a file titles $systemupdate_12-2007. Microsoft says the file should read default.xex and should be loaded onto a disc. I doubt I can just change the name and get it to work? possibly anyone have the file and have used it to update their xbox and can send it to me? any help is greatly appreciated as im very frustrated at this point.

You will just have to wait till the publisher allows it

Microsoft stopped updating backwards compatibility in 2007, five years ago. Do you really believe they'd work on an update because 1000 people want to play the game?

The last updates for backwards compatiblity came out in 2009. If your dashboard has updated at all since 2009, then you have the correct updates for backwards compatibility to work.
