I find the game rather enjoyable and spent majority of the time exploring old Russia.

 

To the people that don't like the game just put on amazon or ebay and you will no doubt get your money back.

I'm trying to give this game a chance.....after all I dropped 90 bucks on it but I'm failing to see what you guys are finding entertaining about this game.

The story levels are horrible. Move from point A to point B, summon Ghost, fight off wave after wave of mobs, rinse and repeat. Feels like horde mode on a tiny map. If you could form a fire team via matchmaking before starting a mission then it would be
bearable but this is mind numbing boredom at best and frustrating at worst.

The story certainly doesn't suck you in and make you want to advance it to see what's next....7 levels in and I have no idea what the story is about or even care. Loot/upgrades are few and far between, social aspect is poorly done and the pop in respawns
are driving me nuts.

I'll admit it's a "pretty" game but the lazy level design is making this a chore to play. Please...tell me what I'm missing....give me a reason to keep grinding out these story levels.

 

^^Well whats the point in grinding 70 points in a Madden game? Don't tell me Madden sucks you in? Its more repetitive than Destiny. If you watched any of the trailer's or played the Alpha or Beta, you would know exactly what Destiny is. An average FPS with
a beautiful atmosphere. Why do we play first person shooters? To SHOOT THINGS! If you don't want to shoot things maybe this game is not for you.

The days of playing a FPS just to shoot things are long over for me. 20 years ago that worked because the genre was new, it doesn't cut it anymore.

We should all expect some effort to be put into the level design and story. If they can't give us that then give us customization. tons of loot and skill trees that allow some variety (Borderlands)...at least reward me for killing wave after wave of mobs.

I do expect to shoot things in a FPS, I just want to know why I'm killing them or at least get cool stuff for doing it.

 

You shoot things (creatures from the Darkness) to save what is left on humanity and to save "The Traveler" (life spawner) from destruction. So pretty much, shoot bad guys to save good guys like every other FPS. Borderlands had 4 or 5 legendary weapons. The
Conference call shotgun being one of them. Sound familiar? Yea EVERYONE had it! Tons of loot is an overstatement. I bet the overall level design in Borderlands would be a little different if it had PvP like Destiny.

I just find it strange that a shooting things in FPS doesn't cut it anymore. Yet you've played every NCAA College Football game since at least 2006.

 

the games good for about an hour then starts getting way too repetitive the story is a joke now we know the real talent stayed with halo/343

 

I had thought about ordering this game, but after watching Twitch feeds, I noticed one thing that really bothered me, it seemed that all the streamers kept sighing from boredom.

I may pull the trigger, but tired of wasting money like I did with the purchase of Titan Fall.

Wonderful game.

Fantastic visuals. Excellent controls. Probably more than half the video gamers on the planet were spanking the servers last night and it runs smooth as anything.

Excellent balance.

Just brilliant.

 

lol Randver, I guess it is payback for all the times ND won a championship before video games were even made.
