    Hi, I Just have a question on Xbox live subscription. My xbox live subscription is about to end next week and i usually buy a 12 months subscription but on reading various things that the 12 months is being pulled, i have bought the xbox series x console
    and all is available is the xbox ultimate with 100 games etc, but im a casual gamer that plays online to relieve stress from work and chat and play online with friends and thats it, not interested in 100 free games, not interested in anything else rather
    than play online with freinds and feel that microsoft is not interested in the casual gamer anyone and wants to pull in suckers to make more money, my question is would i need a subscription to play online still even though i have the new console just to play
    casual with friends, im just confused with different people saying different things, i would appreciate your help on the matter, thanks, Antony

    Not really. The most of the deals you get re with xbox live gold membership.

    Microsoft has stopped selling 12 month subscriptions through them, but you can still buy them as a 1 month or 3 month subscription or buy 12 month prepaid codes from other retailers. Gold is still required to play online with other people.
