    I have purchased Minecraft java edition today for my PC ( Windows 10 ) and it wont let me install from the Minecraft Launcher?

    I have an XBOX account using Minecraft with a profile? Do I have to create a new Microsoft account to let me ;load & access the new JAVA edition for my PC

    Or Is there anything I need to do to allow this to happen like turn off firewalls etc?

    Any help or advice would be really appreciated

    Minecraft Windows 10 Edition is not updating to new versions on my PC.

    Minecraft Launcher is the same thing as Minecraft Java! I have issue with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (Not JAVA EDITION). Do you understand this?
    When i installed Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on my laptop from Microsoft Store it has the latest version but when i installed Minecraft: Bedrock Edition at another device (PC) from Microsoft store it stuck on 1.17.10 version and don't updating to 1.17.41 version. This is Microsoft Store's problem, it doesn't updating my Minecraft to the last version on my PC.

    P.S PC and laptop has Windows 10.

    also, it says my PC is linked, but when I look at the registered devices, it says there are 0 registered devices. Maybe this is the problem. It is an older dell, but meets all the reqs.
    Just to make sure, did you purchase "Minecraft", "Minecraft for Windows 10" or Minecraft Java Edition? Typically when it's looking for a device, it's looking for a console. "Minecraft" is for the console. "Minecraft for Windows 10" or Java Edition are for the PC.

    If you bought the Pc version, you don't own the console one. Also on PC there's Minecraft Java edition and Minecraft Windows 10 edition

    My account was charged for game pass for pc and it says i have it but i cant play Minecraft Java

    As previously noted. Microsoft owns Minecraft, however Minecraft Java is not a Microsoft or Xbox game. The PC equivalent is “Minecraft Windows 10 edition” the Java version is a separate game not part of Minecraft bedrock, their-for not cross play with other devices.

    Xbox owns W10 edition not Java edition
