    Re-Installing Black Ops: Cold War Content Packs


    First and foremost, the copy of Cold War (Cross-Gen Bundle) that I have is a game-shared copy that I received from a friend. Up until this point, I have been able to play that copy for the past month or so with no issues.

    As I was launching the game today, it would show me to the menu where you can select from the different game modes, but for some reason the modes were locked and I could not access them. So I figured that maybe uninstalling then reinstalling the game again might work but come to find out, it did install the game and most of the add-ons, but the content packs were missing.

    I've tried to look around in the "manage game and add-ons" section, but it only showed "4 of 4" and the content packs were not there. I also looked into installing the packs directly from the store, but even though I would have Cold War installed onto my Xbox, it still showed that I have to buy one of the versions of the game just to install it.

    I've been trying to problem solve this issue all day, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times to see if the content packs would re-appear but no luck. Looked around across the internet to find there are not a whole lot of solutions since this is a rather new problem, and I'm not entirely sure what to do. I don't have the luxury to just up and spend $50-80 just to buy a game that I already technically own. Has anyone found a solution to this?

    How come when I open call of duty black ops coldwar a pop up appears saying purchase game then another pop up appears saying game already installed but still wont let me play mind you I own this game.

    Go to "My games and apps" > Installed games > Highlight the game > Press the Menu button > Go to "manage games and add-ons" > Click the game icon.

    Make sure that these packs are installed:

    First, please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and check if you can see the game order stated as "completed", once confirmed follow the steps below:

    Go to "My games and apps" > Installed games > Highlight the game > Press the Menu button > Go to "manage games and add-ons" > Click the game icon.

    Make sure that these packs are installed:

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 1

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 2

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 3

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 4

    The disc indeed includes the multiplayer and zombie packs we just need to ensure that they are installed.
