Re-installation Minecraft for Windows 10

My daughter got a redeem card for Minecraft for Windows 10. We installed it via xbox.com/redeem and working perfectly on our old windows 10 computer.

Now over a year later we bought a new computer and I would like to transfer the game to the new computer. However if I try to download it now via the windows store it says we can buy it and the game is not indicates as 'owned'.

If I try the same on our old computer it is mentioned as 'installed' and also having the button here to buy the game to become an owner. We are a littlebit lost here. It looks like the purched game with the redeemcard is not linked properly to the microsoft account in the past...

And of course as we assumed this was a one way action to link the game to the microsoft account the redeem card ended up in the trash long time ago already.

Does anybody has any suggestion how to move the game to the new computer without buying it again?

You do not have to repurchase Minecraft if you haven’t played for a while or you’ve switched devices.

If you need to redownload the game, visit this page and follow the instructions for the version you prefer (or all of them, if you need to!)

For Minecraft: Java Edition, once you’ve downloaded the game again, select Log In from the upper left hand corner of the launcher and get going!

For Windows10:

Using your Microsoft account, sign into the PC where you want to install your games.
Click on the three dots in the Windows Store next to your profile pic.
Go to My Library. If you already own the game, you can download it from there.
For Xbox:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all.
Under Games, you will see all games you own listed.
If a game you own has not yet been installed on your console, you will see a download icon on the game title. Selecting the title will prompt you to install the game if you want to play it.

Hello Josef.
I have tried reinstalling the app directly from the Microsoft Store, but i cant at the moment since my verification settings are changing and I cant find the app page on the app itself where I'm logged on

If the issue persists with the launcher try this:

Please delete again the .minecraft folder, uninstall all things related to Minecraft and perform an in-place upgrade for your computer following tutorial below:

I'm seeing this specific issue is happening to various players too.
We can try some troubleshooting steps to try fix it

Apart from reinstalling the game, do you tried something else?

Just as a side thought....

Is the old PC the only computer it is installed on? There is a limit to the number of installations and if you reach this limit, this can also cause the issue you are seeing.

When I open the app store, click on the three dots on the top right (...) and select 'My Library' I get a blank list. So, there could be a store issue at the moment.
