Re-install data question

I'm currently reaching my limit on Hardware space for my Xbox One and before getting an external hard drive, I was just curious about something. If I were to un-install then re-install a game, will the game data remain when I re-install it or will everything
be wiped and have to start from scratch again? For example player data like character customization, unlocks, campaign progressions, etc...

Dead Rising 3 will not update

Try to un-install and the re-install the game again. You could also try clearing local saved data.

Hi ISAF Mobius 18,

Customization and other game saves are all stored in the cloud. Provided that you use your Xbox online, you should be able to delete a game from your console with no issues. When you go to reinstall it all your game saves should be there.

ok, so if I uninstall and reinstall a game, everything should be saved from before I uninstalled it?

Some installation data is corrupt, so you have to uninstall the game and re-install it.
