Re-download Games With Gold On Second Xbox One?

Is it possible to re-download Games with gold Games to the same Xbox one if deleted and after the free period or on to a second Xbox one system? I've tried to re-download a couple of them on a new second Xbox one console in my house with the same gamer tag
account I used to get them the first time, it asks me to buy them? Does home Xbox have anything to do with this at all? Thanks.

Second Xbox One Question(s)

I am in the market for a second Xbox, and will most likely be getting one on Black Friday (lots of good deals out there!) And I have a couple questions for people who have 2 (or more) Xbox consoles.

1. For digital games, can I re-download them onto the second Xbox, if I have the profile that I originally bought that game on, on that second Xbox as well? Or would I have to re-buy them?

2. If I can re-download digital games and I want to play it on that second Xbox with a second profile, can I do so? And could I do so, with both Xbox consoles on at the same time, and be able to play that same digital game at the same time? I am hoping I
can, so I could play the game I would want on both Xbox consoles at the same time; one console with the profile I bought it with, and the second Xbox with the second profile.

I hope my questions made sense.

 

Anything you purchase, including games with gold games, are tied to your account so you can use them anywhere. If you go to your Games and Apps and go all the way to the right, the games should be listed as ready to install.

 

OK thanks, I believe tho a couple games in question that were uninstalled, also were hidden from list, I figured I could re-download them later for free like on Xbox 360, gamrs I've bought I can still download fine, it's just the Games with gold seem to
be a one time thing, after the free period, if there deleted, and hidden from the side list, or try to re-download on another console, you have to pay for them, at least that's all I can figure, kinda sucks since on 360 they stay on your download history and
are always free. Thanks.

 

Sorry to hear that you're missing some games. So long as you're still a Gold membership holder you will be able to redownload the games and play them at no charge.

If you cannot see the previously downloaded games in the section that Smwutches posted about then perhaps you added the games from a different account.

You can check past purchases at commerce.microsoft.com to make sure that they were actually added from that account.

 

yes im sure they were all downloaded with the same account, its the only account i have, but its only the games with gold that are asking for money to redownload again, all payed for games are fine, i also read something about being able to unhide items
from the ready to install list, lb, rb and x on the side menu, ill try that later when i get home, hope it works thanks for all the suggestions guys!

 

also my gold status is good for another 2 years or so and ive also checked my purchase history, there is no games with gold games on the list only purchased games for xbox 360 and xbox one over the years, redeemed codes and so on, all the games with gold
for the xbox 360 are all in my download history on that system and redownload fine, as far as i can tell xbox one doesent have a download history just that ready to install list, anyway ill try that thing i mentioned eariler and hope for the best.

 

The reason I recommended checking your account at commerce.microsoft.com was to ensure that the items were purchased in the past (even free games are listed). Please do that so we can ensure that they were added.

 

ok I have seemed to have solved my problem, if you go to re-download the games from the store it asks you to rebuy, it seems you have to reinstall the games from the ready to install side menu, in my case they were hidden, so I un-hid the game by pushing
LT+RT and A at once and the hidden items reappear and you can choose to unhide them again, then reinstall them from there, they all work fine now on both Xboxs, so if anyone else has this problem or is wondering here is your solution, thanks again for your
help guys
