re: Console motion sensor on/off button doesn't work after power outage

My son was playing the xbox one the other day when there was a brief power outage. When the system restarted, the buttons on the console wouldn't work. He has to power on and off using the controller. Also a game disc is stuck in the console and he is unable
to eject it. Can't do a forced shutdown because none of the buttons work. Everything was working fine before the power went out. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a very frustrated 13 year old. Thanks!

I'm having problems with, might be the problem, the power brick. It works normally and it turns on the console but it's not working on the tv nor with the controller. However, I'm able to still power on the console with the controller but that's it. After
that it doesn't connect. It all started with the power outage we had yesterday. Also when i try powering off the console without holding the button, it doesn't blink. It stays on therefore it turns off if i do hold the power button. I've never experienced
anything like this before so I need assistance if it's possible.

 

CoD Ghosts gone black screen, taking too long to start

1. Power down the console (hold power button for 5 seconds)

2. Hold power button and disc eject button until you hear a bing & then release

3. Console will start with green screen

4. Console will turn off again and reboots with green screen, then console provides black screen & loads up dashboard

5. Dashboard is loaded up on safe mode 640x480 resolution

6. Hold the off button down for 10 sec

7. Once the console is off, remove Kinect sensor

8. Turn console on

9. Start the game

10. connect sensor again

 

Still waiting for help. Any one have a similar problem or have any suggestions?

 

Hey there! Head into Settings, Power, Turn Xbox off and when it is fully powered down, unplug the power cord from the console for about 3 minutes. Try again, and make sure it is plugged directly into the wall, not a power strip.
