    Yes! We are having the same problem! My son had been playing Minecraft. We then went to open Netflix and the screen goes black. Afterwards we get the error code 0x80040900. Same thing happened the other day when opening the Microsoft Store app. Brand new
    XBox One S! :-(

    Error Code on Xbox One X

    When I turn on the Xbox it stays on a black screen and then sends an error code 0x80040900. When you try to do anything nothing happens it just stays on a black screen. I typed it in but no error code was found. Any ideas?

    my screen is black and I get a Error message 0x80040900. The error code is not in the support page. What do I do? I also, have restarted the Xbox one tree times, unless plugged it once. And nothing has changed.

    Have you tried fully shutting down the device?

    To do this you will need to shut it down all the way. Not just the typical sleep mode. You need to shut it down to the point where you can remove the power cable from the back of the device and try using those apps again.
