In order to share, the person who owns the subscription would need to set a console as their Home. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox However, you can only share on 1 console at a time. In your setup, you would need subscriptions on at least 2 accounts. You would set 1 of the children's consoles as your Home, then you would be able to sign in and use your content on your console. The you would have to buy a subscription on one of the other children's accounts. They would set one of the other consoles as their Home and then use the last non-Home console.

It's not a good idea to share an account since it does violate the code of conduct. But there's no way to sign into the same account on multiple consoles at the same time in order to play together. You can share games through the Home setting, but you can
only share games on one console at a time. So if you do have kids you would set one console as your Home console, they could access the games from there, then you could sign in and access the games on another console. If you were to have 3 consoles, you would
need to purchase games/gold at least twice in order to share them.

With the Xbox One there is a "Home" setting which allows all profiles on one console to share a gold subscription and games/content. So both kids can share everything on the Home console. In order to play at the same time, the child who's account is the
"Home" account would need to play on the non-Home console. That account can access everything on any console. This will allow them to share digital games, but if you have physical discs, they would need 2 copies.

The Xbox One has a system that allows you to set your 'Home Xbox'. When this is set up, the console that is set as the home console can share Xbox Live Gold and most digital purchases.

On the second Xbox (that your other children use) set this console as your home.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalisation, and then select
   My home Xbox.
3. Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

When you do this, all accounts on this console can now share the main account's Xbox Live Gold. To use it, you'll need to create a new account for your other children. They can even have an account each if you want. As you are sharing Gold, these other accounts
will not need a subscription.

Note: If there is an outage with your internet, or Xbox Live goes temporally down, the first Xbox won't be able to play any digitally purchased games until internet/Live connection is restored. Disc based games are not affected. This is
because it is no longer the home Xbox One.

Since an account can only share to one console, this limits the use of game purchases and Gold sharing to two consoles.

It basically works like this:

Everything an account owns (Gold membership, Game Pass Membership and purchased digital games) is tied to their account. Which means, that person can go to any console in the world and access their games.

Then the account can also share their games and memberships to ONE SINGLE console: The "Home Console". Which means, ANYONE playing on that console can benefit from the games and memberships that the owner shared to that Home Console.

Since you can only share to one console, you can't share it simultaneously to three consoles.

If only the kids are supposed to play the game at the same time, have one of the kids buy the game, and they set their "Home Console" to each other's console (i.e. the son sets the daughter's console as his Home Console, and the daughter sets the son's console
as her Home Console). That way, each kid can play each other kid's games and you only need one Gold membership for both kids.

However, if you also want to play with your kids at the same time on a third console, there is no way around getting the game a second time, and you would also need your own Gold membership.
