RDR2 Won’t download (Disk)

I bought Red Dead Redemption 2 years ago and when I bought COD MW maybe a year later, I had to delete RDR2, Maybe 3 Months ago I was itching to play RD with the boys because they had all just got it, I go to download the game and the first disk runs smooth, with slight diffuculties however but when I go to download Disk 2 which is really pushing my nerves now is not reading or working, My Cbox sounds like a warzone right now, I’ve tried all methods in the forums I found (offline,no update, a update, reset, the entire power cycle) and they all did nothing, it’s on 69.2 as I type this and it’s been on this since 11, right now it’s 2pm.

Any other methods that aren’t false or hard?

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I want you not to worry about the situation because I am here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

The next step would be to check your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

If needed or if it’s dirty or scratched, wipe the disc with a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth. Hold the disc by the edges without touching the top or bottom faces, then re-insert it and try launching again

Another thing you should troubleshoot is your persistent storage by selecting Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections, and then selecting either Blu-ray and then select Persistent storage to clear it.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

hello fellow gamer if you are like me and have the game on disk it is really common for the game to fail install RDR2 is notorious for this cancel the install go to the Microsoft store and install the game digitally off of the disks license if you have the disk in your console, you should be able to install it digitally from the Microsoft store.

Please check the disc for any smudges, scratches, or dirt. Gently clean it with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outward.

And make sure that your Xbox has enough free storage space for the full installation. RDR2 requires a significant amount of space, so double-check your available storage in Settings > System > Storage.

Next is to powercycle the Xbox by turning off your Xbox completely by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and restart.

Then disconnect your Xbox from the internet entirely and try installing the game offline because the console attempts to download updates during installation, which can cause issues if there's no internet connection.
