    RDR2 SPECIAL EDITION CONTENT STUCK IN READY TO INSTALL


    I tried to reinstall Rdr2 but this time I noticed that special content switches back from installing to ready to install.

    I have read that others have this issue too but I have tried all the things they suggestet with any luck.

    Pretty sure this is a new issue cause a month ago everything was just fine.

    Before you tell me suggestions i will tell ypu what i did :

    -uninstall , reinstall all

    -uninstall, reinstall single packages

    -reboot console

    -unplug consolle

    -console settings, restore factory data.

    I don't really know what to do.

    Please help me.

    Hi,

    I also have the same issue and no resolution for it. Tried also everything like factory reset ect.. If you make a complete fresh install of the game the special edition content install fine but after you have started the game the dlc show up in the ready to install list again.

    Oh, and if you install RDR 2 on a external hdd this 18 GB reserved space get reserved on the internal hdd and on the external too. Doubt that should be so cause no other game does that. No idea how long this issues with RDR 2 exist cause I didn't played it for a while and took notice about the problems as I wanted to reinstall the game on my new external ssd a couple of days ago. I suggest that everyone who has this issue submit a ticket at Rockstar support (Rockstar Games Customer Support) so that it can get fixed.

    Hi,

    I have the same issue like you and know that many others have it too. I suppose the last RDR 2 update broke something and now people have this problems during installing the game.

    What I can advice to you and (and anyone else who has this problem) is to submit a ticket at Rockstar Support: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507

    I did that yesterday and they replied and asked me to upload a video which show the installation issue. So you can to that right away when you open your ticket for to save time.

    Right now we can only wait for a fix. Factory resetting ect. bring nothing cause the problem is not your xbox it's RDR 2 itself.

    Also you are right, reboot the consolle will not change a thing.

    I hope Rockstar will fix this soon.

    Rdr2 is a masterpiece and I did noticed too that the last patch broke something.

    Hello there ! I tried every single option. I don't have game pass , i have bought the ultimate edition of the game.

    But i see the store tells me that the special contents are installed but i can see them still in ready to install. I have restarted my xbox many times and i also did a Factory data reset. NOTHING. Storage is not the issue . I have half a terabit free and
    there are no patches. A month ago the game was Perfect. This is an issue that reguards the game not the consolle.

    Hello, If u have paid for the game or xbox gamepass and I highly recommend to restart ur xbox or check for any new updates after that go to the store and try if that doesn't work I highly recommend to check if u have enough storage or delete a useless
    game u never used
