RDR2 saves gone (forever?) after Xbox One firmware update 10.0.22000.3055

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, attempting to retrieve my saves from the cloud was the first thing I tried. All I got back was the same saves I had prior to the operation. In other words, it seems my saves are missing both locally and in the cloud.

Any idea on what I can do?

To retrieve a lost save from the cloud, Go to My games & apps.

- Highlight the game.

- Press the Menu button and select Manage game and add-ons.

- Go to saved Data and clear local saves.

- Then, Select the game tile, and then choose Select all to make sure all available content gets installed.

- Select Save changes and wait for the content to install.

- Relaunch the game.

I think messages save for thirty days after that they are gone forever.

that happened to me once when switching between consoles. ive been trying to fix it for months but have yet to. i believe it to be gone forever though due to the save glitch that occurs normally even after all updates. basically it overwrite your previous
save(axton) with the old save(zero). if youd like though id gladly help you make a new character. ill start a new one woth you if you want add me on xbox.

Your save file is not gone forever if it says corrupted. What needs to happen is you need an xbox that does not have the update and your file will work again. Crappy I know but it works.
