RDR not backward compatible error

Discus and support RDR not backward compatible error in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; hi, I recently bought the GoTY edition and it is supposed to be compatible on xbox 1, but it just throws out an error message saying that it is not...     RDR not backward compatible error


    hi, I recently bought the GoTY edition and it is supposed to be compatible on xbox 1, but it just throws out an error message saying that it is not compatible. I've hard reset my xbox 5 times to no avail. what can I do to install this game or is there nothing
    to be done and I have just wasted my money and time?

    Hi!

    RDR is a backward compatible title, I use it on the X1 myself. Make sure you are properly connected to the Live. When you insert the disc, you will receive a message to download the compatible version on the X1. It will not install anything from the disk,
    but you will need to keep the disk inserted in order to play later.

    I just got black ops 2 as I heard that it's backwards compatible for Xbox one and the error code came up saying it's not backwards compatible while I'm in a party with someone playing bo2!

    Already Own Red Dead Redemption on 360?

    You should be able to go ahead and install your RDR disc on your Xbox One without a problem.

    That game has been added to the Backward Compatibility list a week or two ago. Backward compatibility is not limited to digital versions of the 360 games, if that's what you're thinking.

    I would like to add to Mister Beep's post that there is currently some problems with downloading Red Dead Redemption, according to the
    Xbox Live Status Page (at the time of this posting).

    I'm pretty sure this is due to RDR recently becoming available for Backwards Compatibility, and the servers are likely flooded and producing errors from tons of people trying to download RDR at the moment.

    Red Dead On Xbox One!

    Loved RDR, was hoping yesterday's Backwards Compatibility list would include it, considering it's #2 on the audience poll.

    Naturally I was disappointed. Hopefully MS and Rockstar can make a deal soon, because I need me some Red Dead.
