RDR back compat not working

    RDR back compat not working


    I bought a disc copy of RDR some time ago for the Xbox 360 - read on the forums that I could just pop the disc in to play on a newly purchased Xbox One S, but when I tried to install the disc from the home screen I got an error message that the game wasn't
    playable (error 0x8082000c). It directed me to a list of games that were backwards compatible with the Xbox One, but RDR was on the list. Not sure why my console won't let me install... I checked out the troubleshooting articles but didn't find anything helpful
    there - any help would be appreciated!

    back compat still not working

    i contacted xbox support and tried all troubleshooting (case reference # 1357278774)

    tried opting out of preview error message 0x87e10bc6

    xbox back compat game not working

    whenever i put in far cry 4 in my xbox one, it says that it isn't a BC game. I looked at the xbox store and it says that it is playable on XB1. It it the limited edition version if that makes a difference. I have tried hard resetting my xbox but nothing
    helps. Any help?

    Rockstar has something next-gen coming by Q1 2015

    RDR PC version came from a page on the Microsoft's Windows compatibility site. It's been taken down now though.

    Hi,

    so first of all, RDR should work, but you need to be online cause you need to download the compatible version of the game. The disc is only to show the system that you own the game.

    The question is, have you been online ?

    im having the same issue as both of them. i cant load gow 3 or rdr. i tried the steps above but it doesnt help. btw yes the guy before me is having the same problem. i couldnt get online on back compat so i redownlowded the profile and couldnt. after i tried
    loadin it back up and it kept crashin. i logged in on my 360 jus fine tho so it has to do wit the back compat feature.

    Hello Vulture,

    Thanks for coming back to the forums. What Steeledwand was mentioning does not involve making a purchase for the game. We do not recommend purchasing this game if you have the Disc for it.

    He is saying to have the Disc inserted in your console already and then search for it in the Store. In theory, the store would recognize you have the disc in and let you install the game from there.

    Aside from that, a quick power cycle usually does the trick Just like Javier stated above.
