Sorry to hear about your problem but have you tried using a wired connection or maybe even resetting the Bluetooth connection for the controller? Try this simultaneously, hold down the sync button on
your console until the light on your controller begins to flash at a rapid pace. Once this happens, release both sync buttons. Your controller should
now be connected after about five to ten seconds. or you can use wire connection with micro USB cable after releasing the sync button.

May I know if this issue is happening with all games? Have you tried to use the Xbox Accessories app to see if the controller works inside the app?

Also, do you have other controllers that work on your console?

If this is really a controller issue, then I would suggest you to take it to a repair shop. There are some videos on the internet from people who fix Xbox controllers, but I really do not suggest you to try it without knowing what you are doing.
