Rayman Legends

Just finished this incredible game and I gotta say...........this might be one of the best games I've ever played. How did I miss out on this game for so long? So much content. You get Legends and Origins. 2 games for the price of one. So much replay value.
I beat the game and I still have a ton of things to still unlock. Not to mention the weekly and daily challenges. So addicting. This game is like a crack rock dipped in heroin.....sprinkled over a cigarette. Seriously, if you haven't played this wonderful
game.........what are you waiting for?

Me and my girlfriend like to play Castle Crashers, Rayman Origins, Rayman legends and Portal 2

 

Ive been waiting for it to go under $40 on GoD.....When you say "content" what do you mean really? Do you earn things through out the game, or upgrade your character with skill points? Or is it like Mario, where you get a bunch of different levels?

 

For starters, If you buy Rayman Legends, you also get Rayman Origins, which is integrated into the progression of the game. By that I mean, you have 6 "worlds". Each world has upwards of 8-10 stages. On each stage you rescue these blue guys (total of 10
per stage). The more blue guys you rescue....the more worlds you unlock. Each world is locked behind a static number of blue guys that you need to rescue to unlock said world. Each stage is littered with "Lums", which are the equivalent to coins in Super Mario
Bros. After you complete the stage it tallies up your "Lums" and based on the total you get a bronze, silver, or gold trophy and if you get enough you get awarded a scratcher ticket that you get to scratch off for a random unlock. These range from a stage
from Rayman Origins or a playable character or "Lums".

There's really so much more but I'd be typing for days. There's just basically a lot of stages and playable characters to unlock. Plus the daily and weekly challenges are really fun and addicting. There's a little soccer mini game that's couch co-op only
but me and my daughter had a blast with it. Not to mention, the level design is the best I've ever seen in any game....ever. There's never a dull moment. And the graphics are beautiful and the music is amazing. I seriously couldn't put it down. If you like

side scrolling platformers......this game is top shelf. The game is well worth $60 but for $40 you are getting every pennies worth.

 

Cool thanks for writing that up. My daughter is 7; we don't have a Wii, or Nintendo anymore for a mario game so maybe I can get her to play this.

 

My pleasure. You won't be disappointed. I don't even like side scrolling platformers because of the trial and error gameplay but this game just blew me away and it'll be perfect for you and your daughter.

 

Wait, this is Legends AND Origins!? I thought it was only the sequel with a few bonus stages! That's more than just a few bonus stages! *starts download immediately*

 

This is a fantastic game, easily one of the best titles on Xbox One. I put in a TON of time playing this game and still have a long way to go before I complete everything.

One thing I particularly like about Rayman Legends, is the amount of polish that went into the game. Everything is so well done, from the tight controls, to the superb level and art design.

This game and Child of Light have proven that Ubisoft's talented development houses are really on a good roll. If they could bring some glory back to the GRAW franchise, I'd be thrilled.

 

@Galactic Geek- The Origin stages are unlocked via these scratcher tickets that you win by collecting Lums on the Legends stages. You can then play the Origin stages and collect Teensies which help unlock more worlds in Legends. I believe ALL the stages
in Origins are here.......just not presented the same as the original Rayman Origins. If that makes sense.

@Knewrome- For sure. I was thinking about this the other day and Ubisoft has created some of the best games, IMO, this generation. From Assassins Creed, to Farcry 3. The 2 Rayman games......all the way down to the remake of Beyond Good and Evil, and of course
Child of Light..........the best downloadable game since Bastion. Very underrated development team and as a publisher, they're part of some of the best games and franchises this entire console generation. Never thought of it that way. Maybe I should.

 

Im on chapter 9 in Child of Light, so Im almost done. The firefly was just too hard to control for my daughter. It is way too sensitive, and she had a hard time shining on enemies during battles.

Anyway we downloaded Rayman Legends Demo after that and had a blast playing. She did really well and was even trolling me by hitting me off ledges with the barbarians axe. Question though; Is the KungFut mini game unlocked from the start?

 

Yes. It's unlocked from the get go. Don't need to do anything special. It's just a fun little distraction. My daughter is 6 and she had fun kicking daddy's butt.

 

Try "The Orange Box"..... It's like 7 games in one......

Rayman being a decent game is debatable but, I suggest ANY Lego title for a much better experience....

I have heard nothing but good things about Rayman Legends, but I won't buy it because of Ubisoft, it's a shame because Ubisoft used to be good guys, now they are just greedy developers/publishers IN MY OPINION.

 

Why are Ubisoft the bad guys? Outside of making money just like any other business, why are they greedy? Just curious.
