Rarely am able to connect to XBL

I am rarely able to connect to Live on my Xbox One. When I try to, I usually get the "Can't connect. Check your network name and password and try again." The only fixes that have worked thus far are either restarting my system, which allows it to work on
the rare occasion, or rebooting my router, which usually seems to fix it. However, I don't want to take five minutes to get Live working on my Xbox One anymore, as I'm sure everyone could understand.

I am also disconnect about once a day from Xbox Live, which then puts me back to the "Connect to Xbox Live" screen where I continue to get the above error message. The Xbox is the only electronic that's given me an issue, my 360 has given me no problems,
and neither do my laptop or phone. I am not the most tech savy person, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem while connecting to XBL with HDMI cable

So I am trying to connect to XBL with HDMI cable and it rarely suceeds to connect.(when using AV cable it works perfectly though)

Do you know how to fix that?

Can't connect to xbl either. Hooked the xbox directly to the modem and still not able to connect.

 

Forgive my grammatical errors, didn't read over the second paragraph before posting. Sorry.

 

First thing to check is what your NAT state is, by going into Settings-Network.

NAT should say OPEN, if it says Strict or Moderate, you should setup your router/modem to open the ports needed by the console. I'll give you a link to that when you check the status of your NAT.

Have you also tried to use Wired instead of Wireless, if not, try that and see if anything changes.

 

My NAT always shows as 'OPEN' while connected.

I believe the problem may be with the router, but as I said in my first post, I have no problem connecting with any other device, so I'm stumped. I don't believe there is any trouble connecting to the internet when I take my Xbox to a friends place, which
makes me assume that wired access would work.

 

Modem router combo wouldn't work for me , replaced it today with separate modem and a router....problem solved

 

If a friend who has a router could lend it to you for a quick test, then you would know where.

I would also try wired to see if that helps.
