Rare Replay Voucher Code

Contacted support, Microsoft isn't going to do anything about it and is pointing towards Rare to resolve the issue. Unfortunate but any complaints should be directed towards them.

 

Contacted support via Chat on Microsoft's website. Explained our shared conundrum. Purchased the game in the store, 9 xbox 360 games added to queue like they're supposed to, refund issued. I was as pleasantly surprised with Microsoft's support as I was
frustrated by their lazy gaffe in the first place. Bravo.

 

Neeeevermind. Problem NOT solved. The 9 xbox 360 games were added to my queue, seemingly downloaded, but now I can't play any of them because it wants me to sign in as the user I was signed in as when I bought them. I only have one user on the system,
and I was logged into it when I bought the game (and then had it refunded by Microsoft Support). This is ridiculous.

 

I notice now that when I go to the store and select Rare Replay, I still have the option to PURCHASE it for $29.99, even though it's already been purchased on the system (then refunded by Microsoft support). I wonder if processing the return undid my having
bought the game, and that's stopping me from playing the games because my console is equating having bought the game and getting a refund for it with never having licensed it in the first place. Hmm...

 

Yeah, contacted microsoft again via chat and they do realize that the codes are faulty. The guy is escalating my issue and Microsoft should be contacting Rare about it. Seems that re-buying it and getting a refund doesn't work. I speculate that Rare will
have to re-issue new codes that unlock the bundle properly.

 

Just like tallguy45 I managed to get support to let me buy the $29.99 version on the Xbox store then refund me. Instantly all 9 xbox 360 games got added to my Queue. Unfortunately after the refund none of them work and if I return to the store it still asks
me to purchase the game.

How long does it take to sort this out? This isn't an ingame bug or something truly complicated. Just issue a new download code to everyone who purchased the bundle to the email address linked with their gamertag!

 

A thought crossed my mind today. The REFUND seems to be the hiccup with our workaround. What if I get into a Chat with Microsoft support, and can convince them to credit my Xbox One wallet with the $33.89 to cover the game, then I go and buy it, akin to
just going and buying the game myself. It's got to work then, right? The problem obviously would be convincing the agent to credit my Xbox One wallet on faith (is that even a thing? Like, is there a middle-man between your credit cards and buying things
on Xbox One, a la Playstation wallet?). I will post here if I hear anything.

 

Yes tallguy45 I'm guessing this would solve the issue as I reckon the refund has caused the downloads to become unassociated with our accounts. I've just emailed Rare about the issue too.

This should be resolved. Please go ahead and try redeeming your codes again and let us know how that goes! If you're working or if it isn't letting you redeem it, we want to know either way.

I turned on my Xbox One, and Rare Replay was already downloading (I had uninstalled it), and the 9 xbox 360 games are once again in the queue. When you go to the store, there are still two versions of Rare Replay; the download voucher one we have, and the
retail $29.99 version that I purchased, then had refunded. Now, instead of still saying 'Buy $29.99', it says 'Manage', so I take it the 9 Xbox 360 games are good and licensed, and I'll be able to play them when they finish downloading. I'll keep you guys

Games say 'ready to play' as thy finish installing, so I think we're finally good.

I also get "This code has already been used". tallguy45 I get no such luck if I go back to the store it still says "Buy $29.99"

 

Hmmm...

Mrstyles2007, have you tried uninstalling, and then reinstalling the core game (now that the issue is 'fixed')? Perhaps that would finally trigger the 9 xbox 360 gmes to appear in your queue.
