Rare Replay Pre Order gift card never received

Hello

I was instructed to post here as i was never issued a $10 gift card for pre-ordering Rare Replay in July/August of 2015. Rep was able to see i pre-ordered and no gift card was issued but couldn't do anything beside instructing me to post here.

Reward Points issued instead of Gift Card

On 8/3/15 I pre-ordered Rare Replay and it was to come with a 10 Dollar Gift card. After placing the order I received a conformation e-mail and this was at the bottom.

"Rare Replay for Xbox One - Additional Product Information:

Your $10 Xbox gift card code will be sent to email address associated with purchase within 10 days of game being shipped."

I pre-ordered a game off the Microsoft Store online and never received the 10 Dollar gift card for pre-ordering. After working with support online I found that this was issued reward points and not the gift card I was expecting. I was planning on using this
in store or on-line. If there is a way to use points in either of these place I'm unaware.

Please help. Why did I get points and not a gift card? Can I use points in store? What do I need to change so that I am issued a Card and not points for future purchases.

Arbitrary Credit/Charge

Im confused. I was going to go complain about not getting my $10 card from the Rare Replay pre order(same bull happened with the WatchDogs pre order..I never got the $10). Then I see $31 was added(?) to my account under "Arbitrary Credit/Charge". So....huh?

You would need to contact customer support for Microsoftstore.com since that offer was through them. Keep in mind that if you are a rewards member, you would have received 15,000 credits instead of the gift card.

Yup, never used pre-order with gift card, but simple credit just holding money.

No I received a $10 digital gift card code from the Microsoft Store for pre-ordering the game. The code for Free Fall came with the game.

The $10 gift cards should be emailed about 10 business days after the games ship as long as you preordered from microsoftstore.com. If you don't receive them after the 10 days, you would need to contact their customer support. Keep in mind that if you are
a rewards member, you will receive 15,000 credits instead of the $10 gift cards. Those would show as pending 10-15 business days after the games ship.

If you preordered digitally from the Xbox store, you would not be eligible for either offer.
