Rare problem with new xbox one controller

If the Sync button is not working, simply get a standard Micro USB cable, and connect your controller with the console.

Every controller you connect to a console via Micro USB gets automatically bound to that console.

Just be aware, that you need to use a Micro USB data cable. Some Smartphone charging cables with Micro USB connector only have power but no data lines connected (to save money). So a phone charging cable might not work.

With your controller connected, launch the Xbox Accessories App, and check if the controller firmware is up to date.

After you made sure the controller is up to date, and works with the USB cable, you can then disconnect the cable, and the controller should work wirelessly.

just to be sure try the following steps:

try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console Let us know the results, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds then disconnect the console from power by unplugging it
for 2 minutes. After that power the console on again.

Try to synch the controller again with the console..

If that fails try synching the controller to the console by using a micro usb cable, to see if that works.

That sounds unfortunate, I haven't used the sync button for the Xbox One in quite some time. I tend to just use a micro-usb to sync the controller to the Xbox One console, try that and see if it works. If it isn't synced after you remove the micro-usb
cable, then it might be an issue with the controller itself and you may have to get it replaced.

Same problem here, except that my controllers rarely turn on at all. I bought a new Xbox One a few weeks ago just to combat this exact problem and yet nothing has worked. The Xbox Support Twitter feed is unresponsive and unhelpful. Most of the time I have
to use a wire but because of the way the controller is the wire gets looser and looser.

I know my launch Xbox One controller RB button came off of the controller after years of using it. Had to replace the controller and so far I had no problems what soever. Even got a second controller and no problems at all. Though I rarely play aggressively
with the controllers and abuse them.
