Randomly no sound on game capture - Xbox

Hello everyone,

When i capture a game on xbox one, the sound is not always recorded. The problem seems to occur more and more frequently.

For example, i've just made two captures while playing The Division 2 : one displays the sound, not the other. I quite don't understand why the capture feature sometimes works properly, but sometimes doesn't.

Even more surprising : on a capture i recorded yesterday, the first 20 seconds show a gameplay sequence and have no sound, the next 20 seconds show a loading screen and display the sound properly, and the next segment is back to gameplay and back to being
mute. How is this possible ? What can i do about this ? Is this some kind of experiment about the inherent chaos of the universe ?

I guess there is actually nothing i can do on my end, but i hope some developper will read about this. Please ask any question if you need more information.

So, it might be linked to the last update then. Hopefuly this will get fixed.

Addenda : I forgot to mention earlier that my captures aren't automaticaly uploaded, they're saved on my xbox. So the issue mustn't be linked to any online feature.

Hello Josef,

I tried a couple of other pages (with video) - eg one randomly picked on YouTube, same phenomenon: no sound when captured in Edge, in normal or full screen mode (while I can hear the sound when the video is playing). I also tried in normal and in InPrivate mode - same: no sound.

If I understand what you are talking about, it sounds like you need to empty the capture folder on your PC. The Game Bar will show the files that are in the capture folder. When you moved the capture folder it sounds like it changed the modified date
on your old captures so they all showed up as recent again.

It depends, I don't like to go solo when the gamemode is about capturing, specially when playing ranked matches in gears of war games, it's frustrating going solo to capture when your whole team is just randomly folling arounf the map, I got killed a lot
