Randomly getting kicked from own parties and other network problems

I keep randomly getting kicked from Xbox Live Parties on the Xbox One, but when I get kicked I'm never notified. I find it naturally and when I press the home button and the hud lags for a bit then loads up. I check the Parties & Chats tab and its asking me to start a party. Once I rejoin the one I was kicked from or make a new one, I find my party overlay is turned off. Which I then have to turn back on as well. It seems as if the Hud Crashed but this only occurs if I'm in a party, never any other time.

I have also been having problems where my friends would join me or I would join them but it would send them to my previously played game when they join me through xbox or I would get sent to their last played game if I joined them through xbox. Then sometimes it will say for them every 5 minutes that I am online. Next day after the constant online problem, for me on my xbox it shows I'm offline but when my pc turns on and I go to the xbox app it says I'm online, not on the home screen on xbox or any game on the xbox.

    Possible fixes I have tried:
I have already gone between wireless to wired connection and vise-versa.
I have an Open Nat Type on the xbox.
Notifications for Party and Game are on.
Power Cycled the xbox for a temporary and not permanent fix for the online every 5 minutes and offline problems.
My current Xbox One is almost 6 months old after last Xbox One got destroyed by a power surge.

I keep thinking the problem is either my xbox, router, switch, or ISP
Router and Switch have not been changed since the power surge

    :)

I'm not saying its fixed or not fixed, but turns out the guide is what keeps crashing on the Xbox one that causes me to be removed from the party and my overlay settings to be reset. I think I followed your instructions for most of it but I forgot to power cycle the console. I will retry to follow your instructions later tonight or tomorrow.
But if it were to be anything else cause it. I would be either Router, ISP, or the Xbox itself because this has occurred on both wired and wireless so it can't be my switch.
The guide started crashing about 1-2 weeks ago when I started joining parties through my Xbox instead of my computer.
Although when I joined parties on my computer most of the time I had to leave and rejoin a party when I went to join a party other wise everyone is classified as disconnected. But this problem I will worry about later.

Hello there @, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I want you not to worry about the situation because I am here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists after the previous steps have been performed here is the official link to all the network troubleshooting steps that can help sort this out for you.

The link: Troubleshoot your Xbox One network connection | Xbox Support

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out! All the best!

    Kind Regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!
None of these fixed the problem. But it seems to occur after a certain amount of time, at a certain time or something. My Headset's cord though at the aux/plug in seems to cause static when moved though. And the crash seems to occur no matter what I have open or closed.

Ill see if this works. It only happens at random that it crashes the HUD and sends me or them to different games when joining games.
