Randomly getting disconnect from games and party

There's no errors, no obvious solution... Anyone else having a problem like mine?

Playing GTA V (For example), it'll say everyone left the lobby, and my party chat will stop working, but won't disconnect me from party. Doesn't seem to kick me from live.

Playing Destiny, I get weaseled and sent back to the login screen, party chat breaks in the same way.

Sometimes party chat will break for a minute, then it'll start working. Other times I have to leave and rejoin to hear or talk. And sometimes it does say Party Chat Disconnected.

Anyone know how to fix this issue? Xbox Live support is useless. Please someone help me with this. It seems to get worse at night, and happens on and off randomly. My 360 doesn't have anything like this happen.

Random Xbox live disconnection

my controller randomly disconnects any game I’m playing crashes and I get disconnected from Xbox live briefly then it’ll reconnect by itself and if I am in a party I will get kicked from there too

I keep having network issues when playing only one game, it disconnects me from a party randomly, it disconnects me from the game all the time. no other game I have does this to me. I've hard reset my xbox so many times, unplugged it over night, changed
wifi connections multiple times and nothing works. anyone have any ideas?

 

I have been having this issue tonight. VERY frustrating. I wanted to play GTA on ONE, but keep getting bounced and told I have been signed out of Xbox Live, yet when I am returned to the dashboard, I am STILL signed into Live.

It just did it as I was writing this. NOT a happy camper. If I wanted to play on 360, I would have started out there. I'm going to guess no matter what game I play tonight, I will keep getting bounced.

 

It doesn't even tell me I'm disconnected from live. It just kicks me out of games and parties.

 

I believe this is a wireless issue which has been happening to me since release the only fix i can offer is plug a Cat5 cable in and watch your Xbox One work flawlessly, i plugged a cable in and i havent had 1 party stuff up since its just magical.

Believe me just plug in a cable, Microsoft will fix it eventually.

 

Except that we are pllugged in... Oh, and this happens on the 360. I don't know if it is coincidence, but 6 of all the players that I try to play with happen to have the same xbox elite (1st) as I do. And more often then not, 4 of the 6 that are US based
(including me) all get disconnected from live at the same time. It is rare for 1 of us, and not all of us, to be disconnected at the same time. We have tried port forwarding, triggering, Static IP, Address Reservation, Disable Firewall, Change MTU, DMZ server,
Disable SPI Firewall, different cables, different ports, Mix and match ports/cables, Direct to modem, Enable UPnP, Disable UPnP, adjust advertisement period and time to live, clear cache, delete account, redownload account, rollback dashboard update, remove
hard drive, replace hard drive, factory reset, different channels (still wired), different encryption (still wired), Factory reset router, automatic IP & reset network settings, manual IP & reset network settings. We all have 250GB HDD; we've deleted content
we don't use. We've removed any and all error/corrupt/incomplete files. This issue continues to baffle us. I can confidently say this is hardware/update related because I can not replicate any similarities elsewhere. I have an xbox one as well. I watch movies,
I play multiplayer, I stream. All for hours on end, with no disconnections. I manage my home network. No interruptions of service. No, I don't need to restart my router. I'm tired of doing it for the giggles now. The humor of "have you tried turning it off
and on again?" has been all but lost on me. This is a serious problem. We want a solution, but more importantly, we want some feedback that something is being done. Even if it were as simple as "we acknowledge there is an issue and we are looking into it."
We are paying customers. No you aren't required to provide a service that we can pay for, but we also aren't required to pay for your service. We choose to pay you because we prefer you and trust you to follow through. You have the history of doing so, prove
your worth.

 

Internet provider is offering a bad service and your all getting the same crap provider, Have you tried running a speedtest when you have these dropouts Speedtest.net or have you checked your modem/Router logs to see if there is any issues in your Modem,
Maybe your Xbox Elite has conflicting Ip's with another device on your network or perhaps the Elites are over the hill now, my 1st gen Toshiba Samsung Xbox 360 died from E74 disease RIP you box.

Have you tried a new slim to see if your Xbox360 has *** itself in some way?

 

- different providers

- different modems

- different routers

- no conflicting ip's. (Do you even know what IP reservation and/or manual IP setting is?)

- yes, I have run speed test. No, I don't want to run it again. if my computer is constantly running a ping test and no packet loss, EVEN WHEN I GET DISCONNECTED, then no my internet is not crapping out, and no it's not my network.

- seems odd that 5 elites would suddenly become "over the hill" at the same time (post dashboard update). Not to mention that the elites aren't the only ones with the issue. I continued to do research on this and it's becoming more common.

- would you like to donate to my "Need to purchase xbox slim for theory testing" fund? otherwise I'm not interested in spending another ~$200 for a problem that is not caused by me.

 

having the same issue, it randomly disconnects me and my internet is still RUNNING. the way to get back online is by unplugging and replugging the Ethernet cord, or signing out and in.....

 

what Router do you have? Does it have an option for DDos Protection? If yes you should try to disable it. Many games use p2p and sometimes your router classifies this p2p traffic as DDos and blocks some IP's.

Try to disable this setting and be sure you run the latest Firmware for your router.

 

I'm having the exact same issue. Microsoft has even told me to send my xbox in for repairs. I am not gonna spend $115 for an issue that can be fixed via their end.

Did both of these. Firmware hasn't been updated for my router for a while. I looked into ddwrt, they don't have anything for my router. Still disconnected.

 

I have tried everything. Forcing a static IP all the way to port forwarding and turning off ddos protection. Nothing changes.

 

Okay, these connection issues are common and as with many networking problems the solutions can be different for everyone depending on the topology of your network.

The games being mentioned often with these issues are GTA V and Destiny. Knowing the reputation of GTA Online it is ENTIRELY possible that your dropped connections are due to issues on Rockstar's server side - a.k.a nothing is wrong with your network, just
theirs. It's something they've been working on since the launch of GTA Online and it plagues everyone.

The following are proven solutions I've used in the past to solve this sort of issue:

- Forward all of Xbox Live's ports on your router AND enable UPnP.

- [IMPORTANT] Create a RESERVED local IP address for your XBox via the MAC table.

- Renew your routers DHCP lease.

- Reset your routers NAT Tables to ensure you have an Open NAT.

- Disable any DNS settings not prescribed by your ISP.

If you have UPnP enabled the port forwarding is really just a failsafe. Clear your NAT tables now and again too. Rarely your DNS server configuration can lead to connection issues with Live, nonetheless reverting your DNS settings is a good measure to take.
The one thing you should take from that list though is creating the RESERVED local IP address for your XBox. If creating a reservedl IP for your XBox doesn't help, the issue is likely beyond your control and in the hands of the game developer's sys admins,
your ISP, or Xbox Live.

**It is important to note that establishing a reserved local IP address for your XBox in the MAC device table is VERY DIFFERENT from forcing a static public IP address -- these are two different things!**

If you run into any other network issues down the road, I recommend you try the steps I listed above as they are not wholly specific to this issue alone. Any questions you may have on how to perform any of these steps can be answered by me or by the Xbox
Support page, which details everything there is to know about resetting NAT tables and working with your specific router. They may not have the instructions on how to give your console a reserved internal address though, so feel free to PM me or use Google.
