Randomly disconnecting controller

I'm reaching out to the forums to see if anyone shares my issue. I have an xbox one console that the controller will randomly disconnect and automatically reconnect several times while playing a game. I have tried a brand new controller, removing headsets,
changing location, and unplugging the kinect. The only thing that solves the problem is to keep the wire connected to the controller while playing. I have reached out to xbox support several times and have spent a total of about 3 hours on the phone with them,
and I also sent my console in which they sent back stating that no issues were found. It seems that they aren't able to help me and are not willing to send me a replacement (I was told my best course of action is to keep the controller plugged in!), I am hoping
anyone else out here can share if they have this issue. Thanks!

Well, keeping the controller plugged in isn't very helpful is it? Kind of defeats the purpose of owning a wireless controller

Have you tried updating your controller by chance?

If your controller is not up to date, you may be missing important software updates, including the latest controller firmware. Follow these steps to update your controller:

1.Connect to Xbox Live.

2.Press the Menu button.

3.Select Settings.

4.Select Devices & accessories.

5.Select your controller.

6.If an update is available, you'll see an option to select Update. If no update is available, your controller is already up to date, and you don't need to do anything else.

7.If your controller does need an update, connect a USB cable to your controller and follow the on-screen instructions to complete it.

Give that a shot and see how it goes

 

Unfortunately I have exhausted all options (at least I think). I updated the controller, assigned it, used new batteries, and ensure there was nothing blocking line of sight to the xbox/kinect. Bought a new controller and repeated those steps, same issue.
Yes, using a cable defeats the point. I was actually shocked that Xbox support said that to me.

 

Dam, I was hoping that might do the trick As from what you have said, you've covered all bases. I was going to suggest going through the steps in this link:

But I beleive you already have covered everything in there. Which... unfortunately... leads me to think it could be an issue with the console (which is what is the last suggestion in the link above).

I would reccomend having a look through this thread and follow the steps there (the steps posted by Miss Diggz), as there is the chance that it could be a bug in the system that is still being worked on:

its the console for sure I had mine for two weeks and did it from day one so I returned it to argos and got a new one this one has not disconnected once.

 

I have same problem bout 3 months after i bought master chief and Spartan locke controllers. And now my brand new battlefield edition xbox one 1T control does it on and off , I think its control sensor on console. Microsoft please fix this! maybe update
but i tried that. blow $70 control shouldn't do this, Over 8 years ive spent $6000 easy through Microsoft store and hardware

 

Microsoft needs to fix this and give $50 gift card for the trouble, forward the message plz.
