Random xbox live charges.

I got a random charge on my account of $10.00 for an Xbox live gold month-long subscription that I can't explain. 10 bucks isn't much so I'm not that mad about that. What I'm mad about is that I genuinely feel that my financial privacy and security is less
than respected at Microsoft and wonder if with all the updates there is some issue where my card info, and auto-renewal cycle back on, notwithstanding the fact that I delete my card info, and turn off auto-renewal.

I turned auto-renewal off a few months prior to the charge, and have deleted my card history in the past, and yet here I am getting charged on an auto-renewal cycle and the last four digits of my card... still up on my xbox.

I'm assuming I could do a hard reset, and maybe some factory resets to my xbox but I shouldn't have to go through that. perhaps I'm even missing something in the fine print, who knows. I'm a level-headed guy but think that I shouldn't have to pay an outstanding
amount of attention to my xbox and it randomly giving me charges.

I'm mainly wondering if anyone else is having the same issues, and if so how we can work together with Microsoft to cut through any bull
(Mod Removed-Profanity).

It's a scary thing giving someone your financial info, but a necessary transaction in today's world, but I expect more from Microsoft.

If you sign into your account at account.microsoft.com and view payments and purchase history you should see what this charge was for. If you feel the charge is an error you can contact billing support on 08005871102 in the UK

If you go to account.microsoft.com then click on services & subscriptions does it show any active subscriptions such as Xbox Live or Gamepass?

I also recommend that you review your purchase history on the web site. Have you ever done any game sharing with someone elses console? That may be where the unexpected purchase is originating especially if you haven't protected your account purchases
by enabling a passcode.

 

I do not think I am having that issue.
