    Random video dropout

I'm experiencing random video dropout when connected to my LG C1. The Video/Audio will drop out for 5-10 seconds at random intervals. This happens most often during UHD Blu-Ray playback, but also happens when the XBox is idle at the main screen. Sometimes after reboot, the video changes to 480p and requires a reset and re-configuration to gain the 4K signal again.

I have re-installed the XBox multiple times

I have replaced / tried many different CERTIFIED Hdmi cables.

I have had the LG C1 main board replaced.

I see many reported issues like this on Reddit / google. Is there anyone who can comment on how they resolved this issue?

    Thanks

    :)

    Random video dropout

My Xbox was replaced, as well as the TV Main Board, and the connecting cables.

After weeks of experimentation, the only way to stop the drop-outs was to use and Certified Optical Ultra HDMI cable directly between the Xbox series X and the LG C1. No other method of connection would produce as stable signal. I hope this information helps someone else who is experiencing this problem.

    Random video dropout

    Hello whatifa,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on the description you posted, it seems that you have an issue with Xbox wherein even after replacing different Certified HDMI cables you are still getting Random video dropout,

Let’s work together in finding the best solution to this issue.

For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

    • When was the last time it was still working perfectly?? Have you made any changes before this problem occurred?

    • Are you using the Xbox One or the Xbox series X console?

    • Have you already tried to use a different monitor? And checked if it has the same behavior?

In the meantime, we would like you to try the steps provided from this link: Video on Xbox is stuttering | Xbox Support

If the issue still persist, please let us know. So we can continue our conversation about this matter.

    Sincerely

    Hello whatifa,

Sorry for the late follow-up, we just want to provide you with these additional information on how to send a report:

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button, and then select Report a problem to launch the Report a Problem app.
    2. Select Report new problem.
    3. If you’re experiencing an audio or video issue, you can provide additional info and diagnostics to your problem report by selecting Reproduce with advanced diagnostics. Otherwise select Continue with standard diagnostics.

Note If you select Reproduce with advanced diagnostics, continue with the instructions that are found in the section “Report a problem with media tracing.”
    4. Choose the most appropriate category and subcategory from each dropdown. If you’re not sure what to choose, make your best guess.
    5. If you have a screenshot or game clip with your issue, ensure that Include screenshot or Include game clip is selected.
    6. You may be prompted to complete your report another way:
      • If you select Use another device, you can use your mobile device to scan the provided QR code and continue from your device. This is helpful if your problem report has a lot of details that typing with the virtual keyboard on console may prove difficult.
      • If you select Continue on console, you can continue through the steps in this section to submit your issue from your Xbox console. You can use a USB keyboard, the Xbox Chatpad, or the Xbox app on your mobile or Windows device to submit the details of your report.

Note If you’re using a virtual assistant such as Cortana or Alexa, bring up the keyboard for each text field, and then press the View button to use voice-to-text.
    7. Enter this title - [XBF] LG C1 Video drop out when connected to Xbox Series X.
    8. Enter a description of your issue. Consider the following questions when deciding what details to include:
      • What is the problem or unexpected behavior?
      • What steps did you take to encounter the problem?
      • What additional software, hardware, or accessories were you using when you encountered the problem?
      • Were there any specific error codes or messages you saw when you encountered the problem or behavior? If so, what did it say?
    9. Select Submit. It can take several seconds for your problem report to send.
    10. Once complete, post the title of the bug report along with the submission date in this thread
Note: Please give us the title of the Bug and its date of submission.

The complete steps are provided through this link: Provide feedback to Team Xbox | Xbox Support
