Random Ventilation Issue After Windows 10 Update

I haven't played my xbox in two weeks due to the semesters end and finals. So, I decide to have a little fun this weekend and play COD and happen to notice two unnoticeable things: 1. A new Windows 10 update. 2. Now, my xbox wont stay on longer than 5 minutes
due to a RANDOM ventilation issue. It's been plugged into the same place since I bought it and there's nothing obstructing it. It sits on a desk by itself and is laying horizontally like it should be. I've never had this issue before until after it updated.
It's never been dropped or has any water damage. I tried to set up a repair and the freaking website is acting so janky by telling me I dont have a device registered and I do. Kudos to whomever coded that. I do not know what to do, someone PLEASE HELP! please

Xbox One Elite controller not working anymore after (failed?) Xbox Accessories firmware upgrade

Another victim here. Received my brand new Elite controller today, bricked after the update from xbox accessories app.

It may have been windows 10 anniversary update drivers that caused issue. Anyone here is facing the same brick issue without the anniversary update on their windows 10?

Have you tried checking to make sure you are using the latest version of Windows 10 to see if this resolves the issue?

Can you first try running
Windows Update on your PC and after this also try running
Windows 10 Update Assistant to make sure your PC is fully up to date.

 

Aside from the repair site....was anything on top of the Xbox one ever?

Was anything within 6 inches above the Xbox one?

Is the power cable sitting on carpet or behind anything or beside or touching anything?
