Random & Sudden Major Lag Across All Games

Hello everyone. I'm completely new here, this is my first post!

I have Comcast Xfinity Internet with a the Technicolor TC8305C gateway they issued me. I replaced it with a brand new one of the same model today because my WiFi was having issues across all devices. After replacing it today, I no longer have had any issues
(for example, I can play League of Legends on my PC lag-free, stream Netflix, etc.). CoD Ghosts was working perfectly too all day with no lag whatsoever. That is until....

I just randomly in a game started experiencing the worst lag I've ever had. Made it unplayable. I thought maybe it was just CoD but I tested other games too and had the same problems. This was weird to me because I had been gaming for hours with no issues,
then it randomly happened all of the sudden.

I've tried everything I can think of. I've reset the router, cleared the Xbox cache, restored factory default on network configuration, I've set a static IP for my Xbox and enabled portforwarding for it on my network, set the DNS server to Google's, etc....all
to no avail. The rest of the devices on my network are working just fine still so it has to be an issue with my Xbox, Xbox Live, or the interaction between Live and my network. I've also ran speed tests and ping checks and it all has been perfect. 0% packet
loss.

The lag is still happening. What happens is I start a game, and it works great for the first 1-2 minutes of the game, then BOOM! major lag, game becomes unplayable, and it doesn't stop.

I've exhausted all options I can think of which is why I'm now here. Please help!

I have the same problem all of a sudden my games are having some major lag, making it basically unplayable for me.

 

Why?

True. I'm just disappointed. First day I got bo2 all good, second day, minor lag, third day, major, now, lag at random times.....

The best thing you can do is reset your internet connection or you can contact your internet provider and see if there is a problem occurring.

If you still cant figure things out, feel free to talk to Xbox Ambassadors or Xbox Support on the chat pages!

Unfortunately I have tried resetting my connection several times and it didn't help It tricked me into thinking it did, because the games continued to do the same thing: the first 1-2 minutes of a match were fine, then massive lag hit and was there to
stay.

I'm about 100% positive it's not my internet provider because I was having problems across all devices before yesterday which is why I swapped out the router. Now with the new router, all devices work beautifully except for my Xbox, and even then it worked
perfectly for the first several hours before the lag problem showed up.

I'll see what I can do about getting in contact with an Ambassador and/or Support. I'd REALLY love some help on this, I just bought Ghosts and I just wanna play it with a normal, good connection haha
