random sound sent to sub-woofer from xbox one

I am getting a random three knock/thud sounds sent from the xbox one to my sub-woofer even on menu screen when no audio should be playing. I have the xbox plugged into a marantz receiver which have martin logan speakers and sub. The sub is the dynamo 700
using the wireless box so i do not need a very long sub cable. Here are some of the things I have done to try to fix this problem:

I have turned off all wireless devices in the component closet and running everything through ethernet cables.

I have moved the wireless box/device for the sub outside of the component closet to make sure no interference from any of the devices in there.

I have confirmed that is noise does not happen if i am using the tv apps and the apple tv that all use the receiver for sound and video pass through like the xbox is doing.

I have tried different sound settings on the xbox, uncompressed and bit-stream. I have turned off the kinect thinking the mic or infrared might be causing interference.

I have also tried to plug the wireless sub device to the same plug as the xbox and that didnt work either.

anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    :)

  2. Audio/Subwoofer issues/FIX

If you are having issues with getting an
output to your sub-woofer (very important for games such as Rock Band for the foot pedal drum) I may have a fix for you:

This will apply primarily if you are currently running your Xbox One via HDMI into your AV Receiver.

Connect your Xbox One directly to your TV (HDMI IN) instead of into your AV Receiver.

Connect your TV to your AV Receiver via Optical Toslink cable.

You should then have all the intended LFE sounds coming from your sub-woofer!!

    Sovereign and Harbinger.

Sovereign.. and it's not even close. I was actually a little disappointed by Harbingers voice. Sovereign had that deep sound that shakes the room if you have a Sub-Woofer. Harbinger just sounds like someone making a weak attempt to impersonate Sovereign.

random sound sent to sub-woofer from xbox one

I have also just heard the sound happen if I am on apple tv but the xbox one is on. I tried turning off the controller but sound still happened (maybe weird bluetooth interference). As soon as I shutdown xbox sound stopped, at least for the past few minutes
where before it was pretty frequent. I also tried a different hdmi input for the xbox on the receiver but that didnt help either.

Cracking sounds when HDMI is set to Bitstream OUT

well the sound before it starts cracking is louder and the dialog and distribution between sub woofer, central speaker and surrounds is much crisper.

not sure what setting from the Xbox one we can change, and on the AVR, everything is quite automatic thanks to a process called odyssey on Denon X4000.

so not much i can do.

    Problem with Audio system...

The dongle works to circumvent the cut-off in sound. However, it doesn't "carry" my sub-woofer with it as it doesn't work when I connect via the dongle.

And the issue happens at any volume...

    No subwoofer output

    Hey Sottier!!

Could you explain a little better how you have the sub woofer connected to the Xbox as far as routing is concerned? Also is it a full surround sound system or just a sub and sound bar?

This link might help you out just a bit to kinda of guide you to make sure everything is hooked up in the correct order.
