    Random Shutdown after Windows 10 Upgrade


    My Xbox One shuts down randomly since the upgrade to Windows 10. Before the upgrade never had this issue. I use the BlueRay app and a game (DAI), and a shutdown can occur during either being used although more so with the BlueRay app. I also cannot get into
    settings. When I try I am brought back to the dashboard.

    I originally thought the system might be overheating or maybe the controller was faulty and sending a rogue signal to shut off the system. The controller was swapped out and the system never gets hot or warm to the touch. I also have the Xbox on top of a
    table with complete access to air/ventilation, so nothing is restricting airflow.

    I have completely power cycled the system and usually leave it entirely unplugged during the day when at work. Today I came home, turned it on and within 2 minutes it turned off. When it comes back up it goes through the entire boot process.

    I would do a factory reset but I cannot get into settings. I have tried for 2 days now with no joy.

    Any help would be welcomed.

    Might start with normal video for 5seconds then it turns green with audio still working, and then English subtitles starting

    Uninstalled app and reinstalled app shutdown Xbox no luck.

    Is there a fix?

    Did you recently get an upgrade to Windows 10 Anniversary? If so, did try reinstalling the Media Pack after that?

    I did the reset and unfortunately I am still experiencing the random shutdown. How do I go about contacting Microsoft about the issue and looking into having it repaired or replaced - unless you know of another option?

    Thanks for the reply.

    In effect i think it's normal the controller blinks some times after a full shutdown but in my case when the described issue occurs the controller continues to blink during about 2 or 3 minutes after shutdown and i do not think it's normal.

    But the main trouble is the random reboot or random full shutdown when i put xbox in sleep mode. This should not happen because the instant start-up is selected in the settings...
