Random problems with xbox live.

Over the past few weeks my 360 has been acting strange.

I get all sorts of random error messages and i'm not sure if the problem is xbox live itself, a bug in the last dashboard update or my console is on it's way out.

Here's some examples.

I can sometimes be trying to download something and i'll get a message about my account being blocked due to payment problem. Then when I try again it works. I don't even have a credit card attached to my account as I use pre-paid codes.

I can go to the account section of dashboard and get a message saying there is a problem with xbox live servers on our end, bla bla bla then I try again a couple of times and it works.

I can be just about to play a game in black ops then I get disconnected and I get an error about sign in change detected.

These are just some examples.

My NAT is open and I don't get any problems with my other games consoles apart from a bug in Destiny that can break the xbox one wifi adaptor that quite a lot of people seem to be effected by.

Is anyone else seeing random errors?

I'm starting to wonder if my console is dying but don't want to buy a new one if it's happening to others.

Connecting to Xbox Live over ICS.

I don't have problems making the connection, I have problems maintaining the connection. At complete random times I get kicked off off Xbox Live, but I'm not making any changes to it.

 

Xbox Live random disconnect problems

So far I have been only disconnected while playing games or while using apps, I don't get disconnected when I'm on the Xbox Dashboard. Unfortunately it isn't possible for me to use a wired connection due to the positioning of my router.

 

Those sound more like networking errors than anything else.

You can check commerce.microsoft.com to see if you have any billing issues on your account. Also make sure that your gamertag info matches your actual address info. If you continue seeing billing errors then you should contact phone support for more assistance.

The sign in issue should also be checked at commerce.microsoft.com. You can check to see if anyone else has attempted to access your gamertag from someone. If you see attempts you should try changing your email and/or password. If you lose access to your
account you should contact phone support and set up an Unauthorized Access Ticket.

Finally for issues with Destiny you should type in the error code you get in the help section of Bungie.net

I have no billing issues on my account. my account is in credit and I have no problems buying stuff on xbox one. It's just the 360.

As for network problems nothing has changed in my setup apart from the fact that my console is connected to a 5ghz wifi bridge due to the consoles built in wifi being crap. But I was getting strange errors before connecting to the bridge. I have been using
the same router for a while and never used to have problems with the 360 so I doubt the router is the problem.

Another thing is I used to have a problem where my console occasionally wouldn't shut down properly. The fans would keep spinning but it would not be doing any background download because the light would stay steady green instead of flashing and there would
be no output to the screen and the controller couldn't connect.. I also had this when not connected to the internet which ruled out a network problem. I had to unplug console to get it working again. I ended up running initial setting and formatting hard drive
which seems to have fixed that.

I heard being connected to a surge protector strip can cause problems so have now plugged it straight into the wall but still see the random errors as well as the occasionally freeze on the dashboard.
