Random disconnects when playing a certain game.

I'm having an issue with my connection to GTA Online, I go to play in an online session and at complete random throughout playing online, it'll kick me off the game with a message saying "Xbox Live connection has been lost", "Sign in to play Xbox Live",
I've tried almost everything possible to resolve this I just can't fix it and only seems to be happening to me, my connection is absolutely fine, I can play any other game with ease, with no issue at all, it's just GTA Online, I don't understand why it's doing
this.

Cannot purchase anything without, "a problem contacting Xbox Live."

im having the exact same problem, i have had random disconnects, im running on a centurylink (quest) pk5000. no error code when running a connection test. no errors when playing multiplayer other then random disconnects. random disconnects haven't happened
for a couple days tho. i have an older black 360 elite. i am also having problems adding friends to friends list.

Are you sure you play the other games as long ? I will say of all the online games ive have played , GTA has been the hardest to "get in" a lobby and stay ... if the xbox stays connected to everything else , the it has to be a Rockstar issue , I found
when I couldn't get in a lobby or was in one , but by myself ( or maybe 3 others) I could "clear alt mac address" and when I would go back I would be in a full lobby and stay there... other than "hard reset" xbox , modem and router , or uninstall the game
not sure what else you could try.....it could also be "connection issues" ...are you wired or wireless ?

 

I am wireless, my router is directly under me in the kitchen. I have tried reinstalling the game multiple times, I've also factory restored my Xbox One once. I've only had this Xbox since Christmas Eve.

I really can't find a solution to this problem.

 

Did you try the "alt mac address" ? Also , I would try it wired to rule out a wireless problem , if it don't do it hard wired , its wireless related somehow...it don't take much with that game ...

 

What do you mean "alt MAC address" I'm not that advanced with this type of stuff sorry haha, I can see if I can get wired, but my PC & Xbox 360 are both wireless also and I have no issues there.

 

Go to settings >all settings>network>advanced>clear alt mac address......it will say restart .....I would also restart my modem and router at the same time....

 

xbox one is "pickier " than the 360 for some reason..imo...

 

Okay so, I cleared it I was able to play for around 10min then it disconnected me again.

 

You need to try it wired , so we can see if its a wireless problem ...what type of modem and router are you using ? (model #'s)

 

when you do play GTA ? are you getting into full lobbies ok ?

 

I don't see how it can be a wireless problem when I can play other games no problem, I'm on virgin media, I have no idea what model.

 

it may NOT be a wireless problem , but the only way to be sure is to hardwire it...and you said you have Virgin Media , if you are using one of their routers (why I asked model # ) certain ones have "known isssues"
