Random Disconnects from Xbox Live while using Netflix app

Hello Xbox Community,

I'm hoping you can help with an issue I've been trying to resolve for a couple weeks now. I keep getting randomly disconnected from Xbox Live while streaming shows/movies on the Netflix Xbox 360 app. It can happen just seconds into loading the app to hours
of watching. There are no error codes, the only thing that happens is a popup (similar to when friends sign online) says "Disconnected from Xbox Live" and shows a screen that with 2 options; 1) Connect to Xbox Live and 2) Exit. When selecting option 1, nothing
happens. It looks like it is connecting or attempting to connect and then goes back to that same screen. The only choice that works is option 2, to exit the app.

Now, before you try to give some advice, let me list what I've done to try to fix this issue. Below is said list:

Attempted solution #1:

Deleted system cache (3 times), Netflix app, and Xbox Live profile and then redownloaded profile and Netflix app

Attempted solution #2:

Checked all files on my harddrive for corrupted files and deleted any corrupt files found (there were 2 corrupt files found, both in the Call of Duty folder)

Attempted solution #3:

Contacted Comcast (my ISP) and had them walk me through opening 4 ports required for optimal Xbox Live performance: Port 88 (UDP), Port 3074 (UDP and TCP), Port 53 (UDP and TCP), and Port 80 (TCP)

Deleted system cache (3 times), Netflix app, and Xbox Live profile and redownloaded profile and Netflix app

Attempted solution #4:

Deleted Xbox 360 system update

I am now at a loss, Xbox support has referred me to the Netflix support team who in turn told me that it was an Xbox Live issue which is why I turn to the community for help. Nothing is more annoying than being disconnected from Xbox live right as the villains
mask is about to be ripped off! (not related to any shows I've been watching but thought it would get my point across best )

Random disconnects while using netflix.

I've had this similar problem while viewing Netflix from my 360. Also while playing games halfway through an online match it will disconnect I used to think it was poor wireless internet connection but I now have a wired connection and my internet itself
doesn't disconnect just the xbox from xbox live. Most of the time after I disconnect I can re-connect easily because the internet still works and never went out it just disconnects every 15-30 minutes sometimes every 5, it seems completely random. I have
also deleted and cleared my system cache and reset my xbox/router and checked my speed and every other possible solution. Everything is fine with my internet, my profile simply disconnects randomly,

Some of the cache clearance procedures tell you to clear it only once, but we've recently found clearing it thrice yields significantly better results, hence my suggestion, which addresses the most frequent cause of this problem, the corrupted profile. I

To add to my original post...

I can play video games on Xbox Live with no issues, I can play DVD's while connected to Xbox live without being randomly disconnected, I play computer games on the same network with no connection issues, I use a work laptop on the same network that is uber
sensitive to connection instability with no issues.

 

Are you connected by Ethernet or Wireless?

Have you tried power cycling the modem/router by unplugging for 10 seconds?

 

I'm connected wirelessly but have tried connecting through ethernet with the same results as wireless.

I tried power cycling the modem today per your suggestion with no luck.

 

Whatever those hackers did to the server a couple of nights ago made this issue go away, at least as far as I know. Watched a few episodes today with no issues. Seems to be cleared up... For those with the same issue, sorry I don't know what the solution
was/is...

 

They have also made a post on the support page about apps not starting so they are working on it as well.
