Random Disconnects From XBL

I have an Xbox 360 Slim, and yesterday i started having an issue with getting randomly and repeatedly kicked offline. i could usually reconnect, but it would not stay connected. I got a good few hours of not being disconnected last night and managed to
play several games without being booted offline, but was having a very poor connection. I have a netgear3400 router and have not had a single issue with it since i got it. Today I have still been repeatedly kicked offline as well and i went through quite a
few troubleshooting steps. I have changed the preamble on the router and am able to stay connected now but I still have a very poor connection. I am using Wi-Fi, but this has never been an issue before. My laptop and phone can connect to the router just fine
and i tested my speeds and i have a 12ms ping with a 21 mgps download and a 6mgps upload. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

random disconnects from XBL

For a while now, my Xbox randomly disconnects from XBL no matter if I'm watching netflix or FIOS or playing a game online. I'm in California and use Verizon FIOS. My XBox is hard wired into the router. The router is a Verizon red Actiontech M1424WR. I belive
UPnP is enabled but not sure. There is NAT error and the ISP is Verizon. All my other devices wired and wireless do not have this problem.

I've run the Test Xbox live connection and it connects correctly. Here is the more info:

Hey mate, I've been seeing these issues for along time and the solution can be so case by case basis it's hard to know a definite fix. For example when this error code popped up for me, I turned on a device which had the same IP address as the Xbox and turning
everything off that's connected to the network and restarting, fixed it, though I can see you've try static IP's and the lot!

One thing I see that you haven't listed (although you may have one this thinking it was nothing) is resetting the consoles network settings to default, giving it a restart and seeing how that goes. To reset defaults:

Restore Network Defaults

1. Press the Guide Button on your controller, go to Settings.

2. Select System Settings then Network Settings.

3. Select Wired Network or your wireless network when displayed.

4. Select Configure Network then Additional Settings tab.

5. Select Restore to Factory Defaults then confirm when prompted.

Unfortunately that's all I got because you've tried most other things I'd suggest!

 

I should clarify that my laptop and phone both have very good connections to my Wi-Fi

I am having the same problem, repeatedly being disconnected from xbox live during matches on ghosts, and also while watching videos on youtube. Sometimes this happens every four minutes or so and occasionally I can get through three or four matches of the
game. I have called support phone numbers numerous times with no help. It is not my internet connection, it is not my wifi box, it is not the console, we have two different consoles and it happens on both. I will try to call in one more time tomorrow but
my next step after that will be to demand a refund on everything. We paid a lot for the console, a lot for the game, and monthly fees just to play the game. This is ridiculous. I should have kept my play station.

 

I am having this same problem... It disconnects every time i start a game. I have tried moving it closer to router and I have reset router also. Please help... It is getting annoying

 

Hello, I too have had this same issue before. One time it had worked itself out within a week or two and everything was fine again. The second time I was not so lucky. Here are the steps that I took:

1. I reset my router several times to make sure that was not the issue. If needed, make sure you are not on opposite ends of the house and that you have full bars!

2. Try deleting your Wi-Fi and reconnecting it

3. If that does not work, try contacting your internet provider and (if necessary) have them take a look at your router. (This is what needed fixing in my case)

If it is not your internet that is causing problems, maybe get your console looked at. Hopefully this isn't the problem but in some cases it is. Something could be internally damaged.

I am having the same issue random disconnect while trying to play games. I have used a wired connection and also wifi with same issues. The problem is with Xboxl ive and they need to correct it or refund my xbox live fee. This is absurd how often it happens.
