Random disconnection from xbox live while in game (Xbox 1)

Yep, it's a bit of a mystery, I've read quite a few accounts of people with this or similar problem who have rectified it by port forwarding and adjusting settings in their router but nothing I've tried has worked, so off it goes. Back to the 360 for uninterrupted
gaming, Lol.

I still have concerns about the Super Hub router. There are a number of know issues when using this device with an XBOX One.

Would it be possible for a friend to bring their console to your place and connect it to your network and see if the problem goes away? That would definitely eliminate the issue being with your network configuration vs. the XBOX One and prevent you from
having to send your console in.

Virgin just did the repeat remote test and as everything was up and running in my area with no issues so I just left it at that.

I've asked one friend the question via email ( don't see him that often) who has an Xbox one, who's also pretty close but have had nothing back, he works stupid hours like myself so it's always hit and miss getting in touch. I've got thirty days, well from
the 22nd to send my console in, I've got the UPS label sent to me from Microsoft, I just need to package it up. If they find nothing wrong with my console it has to be my connection. I just assumed playing the Xbox One would be as trouble free as my 360 is.
My Wife, who bought the Console for me isn't too happy about it either.

 

Keep us informed if you can, would love to if MS can fix it, or if its down to the ISP.

When did you get the Xbox?

 

It was a Christmas gift, I first set it up on the 27/12/15. I've had this issue since then.

 

I would take it back where you got it from and get a replacement

 

Sorry mine was a daft post, serves me write for talking and typing, yes take it back to the shop for a replacement, its will be cheaper, and quicker.

The thing about taking it back to the shop is, Having read a lot of posts now, especially on the Virgin forums under Gaming, there is an awful lot of people with the same issue and Virgin bless their cotton socks are well aware of the issue. it is indeed
a software or hardware issue with European issued consoles. From what I can gather they are set up for American ISP only so there is the problem.This issue has been known about for ages apparently? But MS are dragging their feet in releasing a fix.

by sending my console back to the shop for a replacement I'd more than likely end up back where I started. By sending it for repair analysis the fault could/should be rectified, I hope.

 

As long as its free , either ways its up to you and I hope u get it sorted. but would also like to know the outcome.

 

Yep, it is free as the console is still under warranty right up to Feb 2017 I'll definitely come back and let you guys know the outcome, no worries.

No ISP in the world can guarantee perfect internet 24/7. It's 2016 and the internet is still not always going to be up and running. Even Microsoft's servers go down like service alerts etc when party chat doesn't work properly or issues signing in. You can
also get some wireless signal interference sometimes because many wireless devices use the 2.4Ghz band. My ISP is Vodafone NZ and get 100mb/s down and 10mb/s upload speed and have Open Nat on both Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 (sometimes it's strict on Xbox 1). If you
have multiple devices using Wi-Fi on your home network, that can affect it. We use the modem supplied by our ISP (it's best to rather than using a 3rd party modem). I get a ping of 192ms mainly because I live in a NZ city. I'm still able to party chat and
play with friends and people across the globe even with that ping. Our world is HUGE (it takes two and a half hours to fly to Australia and about 10 hours to fly to LA from NZ. We all cant just have 0ms ping.

 

I would still have taken it back to where you got it as you would have had a new console straight away then if problem persisted then you could have sent it off for repair
