    Random disc read errors


    Good morning everyone,

    first thanks for even even looking at this post, my problem is that every now and then when I attempt to install a game or switch from one game to another the Xbox one will tell me to "insert disc" even though i already have my new disc installed. I will
    have to eject the disc and put it back in for it to work, most of the time that will fix the problem, but had been several times that I have had to reboot the box to get it to work. My system is set for "instant on" which I hear could sometimes cause this
    problem. Do you think I should have my Xbox replaced or is this a software problem. Thanks again for any and all replies.

    Random disc-read errors.

    It's pissing me off a *** lot now. It takes 20+ minutes for my 360 to finally read my Forza 4 disc, which is in perfect condition. Any other game I've tried works first try, but Forza takes several in the tray, out of the tray, in the tray, out of the trays
    before it finally works and I'm going to rip my hair out. What in the hell is it doing this for.

    I have the same problem with my disc not reading. It's frustrating because the disc is perfect. Ejecting the game over and over again is aggravating.

    I also get dirty disc error when trying to race on the "Camino Viejo De Montserrat" track. I can not race on that track because I always get an error. The disc is perfect (not scratched), so I know it has to be related to whatever the problem is with the
    disc not always reading. I hope they fix it soon because I can't advance in my career and I like the game because it's fun, but I haven't played it in a few days because it's too aggravating trying to get it to start up.

    same thing happened to me a few times. it seems to only happen randomly when switching discs. I think what happened is that this system wasn't meant to do a lot of things but ppl complained about the drm feature that they had to add in a lot of work a rounds.

    this as been going on since day one, gets fixed then pops up again its not as bad now, hopefully they will get a permanent fix soon.

    I've noticed this with quite a few blu rays. If you xbox button to the home page and push "start" on the game and select quit before entering your next game has worked for me.

    With all these updates / preview updates, the disc issues STILL isn't fixed??

    Yeah, mine's installed too, which confuses me even more. Once the game boots up, it's fine. I don't get errors in-game. It's just that it takes awhile for my POS 360 to read it.
