    Random crashing when playing xbox game pass multiplayer games on pc


    When playing xbox game pass multiplayer games on pc the games will crash randomly. The issue happens to my friends as well when they play. The games tested are Valheim, Grounded and Stardewvalley. I have received advice to reset and repair the Xbox app via settings but that did not fix the issue.

    Hi, I've done what you have advised and it did not solve the random crashing issue. I have also tried the method below to no avail.

    Open PC Settings.

    Go to Apps -> Apps & features.

    On the right side, look for Microsoft Store and click it.

    The advanced options link will appear. Click it.

    On the next page, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store to default settings. This will repair the Microsoft Store app.

    Reset xbox app as well

    Next

    Go to settings> Gaming> Xbox Networking> Select: Fix it.

    Next

    Open Start. . ...

    Open Settings. . ...

    Click. Update & Security. ...

    Click Windows Security. This tab is in the upper-left side of the window.

    Click Virus & threat protection. ...

    Click Virus & threat protection settings. ...

    Disable Windows Defender's real-time scanning.

    Next, please check time and date on PC as this affects update, then check update

    settings> Update & Security.> windows update> Check for update

    Once done, restart PC, then check if the issue still persists.

    Another thing I can add that may be an issue is that me and my friends are sharing a Game Pass account but I have played with them while sharing my accounts a few months back and not have the random crashing issue.

    Kindly delete all files in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache, and then reboot your pc.

    This will only rescan all your downloaded files in just a few minutes then will let you launch the game.

    Why i can't play multiplayer

    Are you on PC or Xbox? What games are you trying to play online multiplayer on? Don't forget, you have to have a subscription to play online multiplayer on Xbox. Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate will give you access to online multiplayer on Xbox.
