    Random Console Shut-Offs


    My Xbox One S has been experiencing a problem recently. Whenever I try to connect to a party or an online game I recieve multiple connection errors followed by a black screen. After about a minute the console turns off by itself. I have checked the console
    and the temperature is no warmer than usual and I have peered in through the top of console and there appears to be no dust on the inside. The power cord is secure and if there is a troubleshooting method out there I have probably already tried it. Is this
    a networking problem that is being looked into or a hardware problem with the console?

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I would like to inform you that discussing self repair, like opening your console, is not allowed on these forums. Please take a look at the

    Xbox Forum Guidelines     if you haven't already.

    Sounds like a hardware issue with the console. One thing I recommend is reporting this issue through the insider hub. If this is happening to multiple users, we would need everyone to report it so that it can begin to be looked into.

    Firstly can you please connect the console directly to a wall outlet as connecting the console to a power brick or surge protector can cause performance issues with the console. After this can you please try following the steps guided by

    this support page     and hopefully this will resolve your issue.
