    Random Button Pressing?


    Hi,

    When I turn on my Xbox One, it's usually just fine, but at varying time after, it decides to start making random commands (sometimes it snaps Netflix, when I'm on Netflix, it rewinds whatever I'm watching). It most often goes to the "Shut Down?" prompt,
    at which point I have to constantly press B, lest it automatically go up, and press A on its own.

    I've already sent my first Xbox one to be serviced/replaced due to the same issue, and I'm using the replacement currently. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

    Is it a matter of my needing to update controllers? Because this Xbox has worked swimmingly for the past month that I've had it. And my first Xbox only started having issues half a year after I first received it.

    Is my house built on a Native American burial ground?

    What are your thoughts?

    is the on screen button sequences random no matter which way u press it....Seems like no matter what button u press when shooting a fireball it is always random & u end up losing which is trash

    Is this also happening when your controller is not connected to your One?If so , does it also happen when having kinect disabled?

    I'm afraid that it still occurs with both items disconnected. Currently, the only things plugged into it are the HDMI in (for a TV receiver), a cord for sound, and an HDMI connecting the thing to the projector I use with it.

    So if this happens with no external controller corrected you should consider to have it serviced as this done tasks strange behavior then.

    To have a service initiated you may whether phone the support or go to

    The same is happening to me, my xbox one controller's "X" button will also be activivated turning my console on random times of the day. It does not do this when conneted wired.Please help!

    Thanks for posting. If you haven't yet, please make sure your
    controller is updated     to the latest firmware. If after updating you are you still experiencing issues, please create a new thread detailing the issues as this thread is a couple years old.

    I had a similar issue with buttons getting stuck and left stick wandering, I went to my local EB Games (GameStop) and they pulled it apart and cleaned, back to brand new now. You could do it yourself if you had the tools, and watched the videos and felt
    comfortable, that was just my personal choice.

    probably what's causing that is that maybe there is some grass on the controller, an update wont make that work again, what you can try is to open your controller and clean the contact part, there are video on youtube about it, but if you think it is better
    someone who know how to do it does it, then take it somewhere in your city to be fix
