    Does the Xbox One X do a random beep when performing an automatic update, or could it be the external hard drives i have plugged in?

    SOUND BEEP FROM THE CONSOLE EVEN IF ITS OFF, AND SOMETIMES CD TRAY OPENS

    HI, I HAVE BEEN HARING A BEEP FROM THE CONSOLE, VERY RANDOM, WEN ITS ON AND OF... AND SOME TIMES THE CD TRAY OPENS, LIKE ITS POSSESSED JAJA, ANY IDEAS WY THIS HAPPENS?

    Disc tray constantly opening and closing at random times

    I have an Xbox 360 S. At random times (while gaming and also while power is off), the console will make a beep sound and the tray will open/close repeatedly. I have to keep the power unplugged to avoid this happening. Any ideas why???

    I have never experienced any beeps while updating and I've never heard of such thing happening so it might be your hard drive.

    while performing an automatic update your console turns off and on and that makes your hard drive turn on and off so the beeps might be for that.

    its just one beep every now and then, dont think its anything to worry about, i had the S and one, and they didnt beep but a didnt have external HDs, was seeing if any1 else has experienced it, anyways thankyou for your reply

    My Xbox one s will randomly beep it can happen when playing a game or when in standby mode.

    Its Completely random.

    It's like a PC beep if you get what I mean like Some PCs beep when you turn them on.

    Doesn't seem to affect the console but it annoys me.

    Xbox Slim will turn off at random...

    My xbox 360 slim will do something similar. It seems to beep at random times, the beep sound is the same as the eject or on/off sound. Most of the time the xbox will stay on and have no problems however sometimes it will just turn off or the disk tray will
    open. I really want to know what is causing this! Haha. If the brick is not unplugged then the xbox will turn itself on and open the disk tray by itself, also randomly. The most worrying thing for me is that it makes the noise at random in and out of game
    play and seems to be harmless except for the few times its opened the disk drive.

    Xbox One randomly ejects disk or turns on.

    I have been having the same issues. Called tech support yesterday and we went through a few things ranging from updating security proofs, to changing power settings. Also did a hard reboot on the system. Went to work today and left a game in the drive,
    came home to good results. So far through my recent gaming session no random beeps and no double beeps that eject the game
