Random 640x480 Resolution

Discus and support Random 640x480 Resolution in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Whenever my XB1 is asleep for a long period of time and turns back on it seems to stay in 640x480 mode.     Random 640x480 Resolution


    Whenever my XB1 is asleep for a long period of time and turns back on it seems to stay in 640x480 mode. The other modes disappear. Only a reboot fixes it. Anybody know what the problem is here. Using a decent Samsung TV.

    graphical issues

    sorry wrong I understand it. HDTV 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and normal resolution 640x480, 1024x720 1650x1080,.......,. 3D TV disabled, and Display i have enabled discovery.

    Accidentally Changed Resolution during setup and can't get it back to normal (640/480)

    I have my Xbox 360 connected via HMDI to a Widescreen TV. This afternoon I was checking some setting in the initial setup and accidentally changed the resolution from 640x480. Now all I get are horizontal lines across the screen. How do I get back to 640x480,
    or to initial state so I can start over??

    Yes, The only available resolution in the settings is 640x480

    Hi there Zach welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Unfortunately, this is one of the symptoms of HDD issues with the consoles, try the reset but like this:

    1. Turn off your Xbox using the power button on the console.

    2. Once your Xbox has completely powered down, unplug the power cord from the back of the console. Don't simply unplug the cord from the wall's electrical socket — it must be disconnected from your Xbox.

    3. Wait for 5 minutes, and then reconnect the power cord to both the Xbox console and the electrical socket.

    4. Let another minute pass.

    5.-Press the Bind and Eject buttons, and hold those buttons to keep them pressed.

    6.-Then, with the Bind and Eject buttons held, press the Xbox button.

    7.-Let go the Bind and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

    8.-Thereafter, the Xbox One should start up at the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

    9.-Select Reset and keep my games and apps.

    There are a few others I tried from non-microsoft forums but they just repeat the same troubleshooting suggestions from above.

    Can Xbox One be used with a 1920x1200 resolution monitor?

    Your monitor only supports 1900x1200 resolution according to the manual. All monitors are required to support 640x480 as a default if a supported resolution is not available

    Xbox supports standard VESA resolutions, which does not include 1900x1200

    1280x720

    1920x1080

    3840x2160

    Would be the most common
