Raising a Complaint...

Hi,

I have just finished an online chat with one of the Microsoft support team regarding my Microsoft account balance which expired two days ago. I asked if the expiration date could be extended by a few days to allow me to use my credit to which I was advised
that this "isn't possible because everything is automated(!)".

I then asked how I would go about raising a complaint as I believe not allowing your customers a few days grace to use up credit that they have purchased is not great customer service. I was told the process of raising a complaint was to do so in this forum
which doesn't seem correct to me?!

Can anyone confirm how I would go about raising a complaint to Microsoft (I'm based in the UK if that makes a difference).

Wow, nice rant.

I checked Vurgin and no problems in service. There are also a lot of people i these forums raising same issue - yiur logic is flawed about volume of complaints.

Well whatever has upset the Belkin I'm sure Belkin could resolve in firmware. It is well worth raising a ticket with them, if they don't know about it they can't fix it. I would do as well as raising it with Microsoft

Thrre nothing ms can do as giftcards do have promotional points do have expiry

Usually a 1 year after issue

They cant extend it all services have terms and conditions you actually have to follow

Yes, I understand that the Terms and Conditions state how long the code is valid for and if the balance had expired a month ago I would understand but as it's just two days it seems a bit harsh to not extend the lifetime of the balance. Also, it isn't particularly
easy to find when your balance is actually due to expire.
