Rainbow Six Siege

AFter watching the (probably scripted) vid of this at E3 i think i wet my pants a little.

This is the sort of game I have been dreaming of to get me back into MP games. A small team tactical shooter where the objective is more than to simply kill your opponent. Teamwork will be a must to win. I like the multiple entry/exit system. the fact you
can use a drone (which can be shot at) to scout the place before you enter to see what the enemy is up to. All in all i simply cannot wait.

Anyone else as excited as i am?

My big question is though. What happened to Patriots?

No code after buy rainbow six siege

Hello i have buy rainbow six siege. I have no code for rainbow six vegas 1 and rainbow six vegas 2. I waited 3 weeks ! I will like to receive in exchange the season pass for rainbow six siege.

 

The scripted dialogue was so annoying and fake. Gameplay looked decent though.

Patriots was cancelled.

 

you could tell it was scripted as there was not one swear word lol, who plays a game that intense and manages to mind their Ps and Qs

 

Scripted or not... who cares... It's Rainbow Six and they brought back the planning phase...

I love R6 but if this is mp only i'm out.

 

@Gary i did wonder how they would work a campaign into a game designed like this. It got me thinking of a campaign starting with small missions like the one we saw in the vid at e3 and by the end you are rescuing the pm from downing street or the queen from
bucks palace etc.

You could then have a flipside where you are the criminals playing out those mission.

I just dont see how Ubi would make the AI work for a game like that without it being repetitive and predictable. My guess would be online only.

There is a campaign and co-op. They just wanted to talk about multiplayer.

 

I knew ubisoft was the only hope we had to make a big budget tac shooter. I started to loose faith after seeing games like GRFS and the The Division looking to go the same route. Rainbow Six blew me away and has got me excited about a shooter again. Let's
just hope this the start of it and hope to see games like ghost recon and splinter cell stripping back and going back to what made them games good.

 

I'm offended that there's a woman on the swat team. It's completely unrealistic and breaks my immersion.

 

@shellmold6684 Would you prefer the woman just stick to helpless hostages?

 

I really can't see this happening strategy wise when the game is released.

This is what I will expect in real life:

1. Somebody will try to take charge and formulate a strategy

2. Another person will then swear profusely at that person and question why they should be in charge

3. Another person will then do a few burps and then start whistling and playing music through the mic

4. Another person will go "sod rappelling of the roof, I am going to jump off and do a 360 no scope"

5. The last person would have had enough and quit from the game

 

Would need a team of people who were prepared to play together regularly and take on roles. Worked for Gears.
