Rainbow 6 Siege Audio Bug

On R6 I have been affected by a bug in which most my audio is weird. Gun Shot sounds are very muffled. I can't hear reloading at all, and I can't hear my operator talking. I also can (sometimes one of these happens sometimes the other happens) either not
hear footsteps or I can hear all footsteps near me (non-directional) out of only my right ear phone. I have noticed that on attack when my drone enters the building the glitch will start. Also on defense almost every round I will have the
glitch. If my drone does not go inside the building on attack sometimes the glitch won't happen. Finally, I have had this glitch since around Operation Burnt Horizon i believe. If anyone knows a fix for this please let me know. I have not tried uninstalling/
reinstalling but if there is no other fix I will (R6 is a large game so I don't really want to do this).

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I have seen this issue from rainbow 6 siege. It seems like the developers have been trying to fix it each patch. Uninstalling the game is definitely a good step to try, but you may want to try contacting the
developers beforehand. They may have some troubleshooting that can help you out without uninstalling the game.

It seems a Rainbow Six Siege audio bug various players have been raising concerns about of late has been fixed with the FPS game’s latest patch. The patch notes for the (now live) Y5S3.1 update detail a raft of different fixes, but seemingly none relating to the inverted audio hiccups. Following developer Ubisoft Montreal’s confirmation it was “aware that some players are currently experiencing an audio reverse bug in Rainbow Six Siege”, and that a solution was on the way, however, the studio now says it “believes” the bug has been fixed with the new update.
