Rage Quitters Issue

I know, I was there.

Like I said, unplug Ethernet cable, plug back in as soon as it drops, meaning you have the prompt on the screen (the user input) which then once cable is back in can press the button to confirm still there. Both show as accepting the prompt. Neither get
loss.

If it was that easy, it would have been done. Rather than programming a complex jail system that doesn't function correctly.

 

@CtrlAltDenied It was suggested after the failed Jail system was put in this place. At that point in time, as we now know, DH knew their time on the game was up after Fulgore dropped, and they would not have had the time to do anything like this.

I don't think you are getting what the "same time" means to a computer. It means the exact same point in time. Not the time between an ethernet cable being pulled out, put back in again and the system reconnecting. Not the time between shutting the game
down and reloading it. It means the exact same time, as simple as that.

If someone was not in the software and online at the exact split second a game disconnected, they would not get the message.

I just want to say im at work staying at a hotel internet issues got my rank jacked up looking like i quit n i dont so i know system works but sad i get penalized fordisconnect n i dont do it cant wait to get home

 

As I've said before, until MS and the new developer get the Netcode working again, I'm not going to complain about RQers. It's a problem, but then again, I'm not going to expect a Rank 40 to risk losing a ton of XP because of a network desync. If they want
to quit the match... let em do it. I rather have honest wins than wins because the system broke.

 

Who's to say each player should get a win or a loss? Why not give both of them absolutely nothing? If someone quits or gets disconnected, neither player gets a win or a loss - the fight simply doesn't count and no experience is rewarded at all. In order
for experience to be rewarded, both players must stay for the entire fight until someone wins. Xbox One reporting and blocking features will still be available to use against those who rage quit early too often. Just my two cents.

 

I totally agree with this. I havent quit not once since I had this game I have a bunch of recordings of people who have very high rank once they start losing they quit. I end up in jail and I get no credit... my rank is only apprentice because of this when
my true rank should be 15 or higher... If IG cant fix this then get rid of rank, fight title system because honestly there is no point.

 

BHE I don't know who you are playing, but I don't encounter true Rage Quitters THAT often in order to impact my rank (or not rank). I do encounter numerous issues with the Net Code going to crap during the game. Usually if I'm playing a Rank 30+ and they
are totally kicking my little Sabre butt across the galaxy and then BOOM and then suddenly they aren't able to combo break one thing I dish at them, nor able to block and start acting funny... I know something has gone horribly wrong on their end. If I am
able to catch it in time, I'll pause to see if they can recover. I like winning, but I want real wins, not wins because the system broke. If they choose to end the match, I don't fault them.

Rage Quitting was a huge issue when KI first came out, but during those days the Netcode worked fine. The game played flawlessly online, however with each "patch" things have become increasingly messy and unstable. I, for example, continuously get desynced
and have to reboot KI all the time. This isn't a big issue in Lobbies and or Exhibition, but when you work your butt off for a Rank and then aren't able to maintain it, not because you're losing a solid fight, but because the system broke, is infuriating.
Until MS and the new developer fixes these issues, I'll just keep my little Rank 17. I love playing Rank, but it isn't worth the anxiety attacks its giving me.

In respect to you not ranking up though... I've had all the issues you've have and am still able to Rank up. While I'm sure that you might have lost some opportunities in getting a solid rank by RQers (and net issues), you should still be gaining ranks,
maybe not as fast, but at least making some progress, especially while you are in lower ranks. You lose to a rank 6+ you don't lose that much XP. You're currently at Rank 4, so even losing to a Button Masher won't net you too much of a loss.

If you are truly playing at a Ranking skill of 15+ you should be ranking up pretty quickly, even with netcode/ RQ issues. It happens a lot, but not THAT a lot.

 

Ragnarok30 I feel what u saying, but lets keep it real. Recordings dont lie... Every match that I was winning 75% of them actually quit. Some guys taunt then disconnect. To save their rank. Yes some are genuine disconnects. Others is because people get salty.
Dont take my rank 4 lightly, and some higher rank cats do. Its cool I only play with fulgore and thunder... I dont play rank like that anymore. I gave up but give what im saying some credit because u know its true!

 

Ragnarok30: Generally, when things go horribly wrong on their end, they aren't quitting on purpose. What actually happens is when a desync happens, all of their attacks (and yours) are going through but at different times for each player. So on their side
you are mashing heavy punch in the corner while on your side you are in a combo. This is the same thing for your side. Then, whoever wins the match first gets some rank, and on the other end it is classified as a disconnect.

I generally let the other guy win and disconnect me instead of racing to get rank first, because it can generally happen late enough in the game it seems like a rage quit. Once, when I did an ultra, it had desynced on their end. (I was told later in a message.)
He told me that on his end, I had dropped the combo, he had gotten in an opener, started his ultra, and it disconnected. This has even the case on my replays. If I was the one on the receiving end, I would think it was a rage quit too. I usually let them win
to save my reputation.

 

This game is full of bug, i hope IG fix all the bug in this game.

 

I am getting what the same time means, both people will not press the button to confirm at exactly the same time. Leaving a delay would be expected to account for internet delay and or lag.
