Rage 2 - What a gem in the rough!

It looked interesting, but I never played the first Rage (which I heard was pretty good). However, I heard it didn't really surpass Rage 1 enough to matter. Again, I never played either of them to know.

From my perspective, it appeared too similar to the newer Farcry (which is a series I dislike, unpopular opinion - I know). So that is what kinda' kept me away. I won't rule it out completely, but it's unlikely I'll get to it.

The game is overall but is lacking with a short story but is made up by the mass amount of content in the game and the new DLC’s

Rage 2 is a great play! My GamePass paid for itself so many times already, both Outter Worlds and Rage 2 had a cover issue of Game Informer. My main dislike with Rage 2 was it feels like a "floating" type shooter. Meaning I prefer fps games that I can
hear and feel my footsteps. Doom is a great game, but has that "floating" feeling. I do however love the gameplay, carnage, and vivid colors. Can't knock this game really!

I played Rage 2 (because of Game Pass). It took me a while to adjust to the controls but it's a good solid FPS. I think it needed more NPCs around the open world, to remove the feeling of wandering around alone until you spot a group of enemies. I read
somewhere that Rage 2 is like Borderlands meets Doom - I agree - the look, style and gear

I picked up Rage 2 earlier this year when it was on sale. It scratched an itch I had before BL3 came out. Now that it's on gamepass, if you're a fan of shooters, it's worth a play. It's not super deep, but not every game has to be. It's simple run and
gun and fun.
