Rage 2 stopped working after starting the game

I set the N card for global use, and the game can start playing. But the game still reports errors

can play the game normally, I am very satisfied, I hope this method can help more people

Only way I found to fix it was to uninstall the Xbox (beta) app then manually delete the WindowsApp folder on the drive.

I made sure the only WindowsApp folder was on the C:\ and it didn't have any Xbox Game data in there - then rebooted and re-installed the Xbox (beta) app. Note: Repair or reinstall over an existing install did not work. Had to purge the system of all
things Xbox before re-install and then it worked. Also, it was the only game that I downloaded and confirmed as working before downloading the other games.

Hopefully you didn't install this to your C:\ because then you won't be able to delete the folder without causing some problems with Win10.

I can only guess that somewhere it got confused with the multiple drives/volumes on my system. If you can create a separate volume just for the Xbox games then install them there. That way if you have to wipe the drive and start over it won't affect your
save games and you can just download a fresh copy of the game.

1.Restart the computer
I have restarted the computer and starting the game still shows that the game stops running.
2.Received an error message
The game error report does not seem to have the error code when the windows error is reported. The game program has requested to submit error information, and it has been submitted as required.
3.XGP plan status
XGP plan status is normal, network connection is normal
4. Does the computer have management rights?
The computer has obtained administrator rights. Still using the administrator identity
5. Did you restart your computer during game installation?
The computer was not restarted during game installation. Now uninstalled, try to install again.
6.Storable media issues
Sufficient space is reserved and there is no shortage of space.
7.Fix reset game
The game has been fixed and reset, but it still runs incorrectly. The graphics card has been upgraded to the latest version, and there is no problem that the graphics driver version is too low.
8. RAGE2 games also had the same problem in other game stores.

You certainly aren't the only one with
this problem.

I'd suggest the following:

"Play" the game to generate another crash report.

Click on the option to see more details about the report.

From there you will be able to "export" a .zip file that contains 3 files that are generated with each crash report: a .dmp file, crash report.xml, and a dxdiag.xml file

Take that .zip file and extract the contents.

Rename the .xml files to .txt (explanation below as to why)

Then open a ticket with Bethesda at their support portal:

If you haven't already, you'll need to create an account.

Once you are logged in, then create a ticket for Rage 2.

The initial response you get will be automated so no need to be too verbose in your initial description.

That response will say it needs a Diagnostic report file within 96 hours or it will auto-close the ticket.

That Diagnostic report is only generated from the Bethesda Launcher - which doesn't apply here.

Reply to THAT request and then you can list your basic hardware specs and mention that this is for the Xbox(beta) app on Windows 10 which doesn't have the option to generate that report.

Eventually, a human will respond and ask for a crash report. Their system doesn't accept .zip nor .xml files - so upload the 3 files (2 .xml->.txt files and the .dmp file) individually to your response.

That's as far as I have gotten. So more reports can only help them figure out the problem.
